I have noticed on the book threads, many people have enjoyed the book "Brother Odd" by Dean Koontz. I used to read his books all the time, but that was many years ago. I recently read The Husband and really enjoyed that. Is the "Brother Odd" book part of a series? If so, do I need to start with the first one? Is is similiar to The Husband as in a fast read and suspense? I really don't care for Koontz's books that are in the fantasy or science fiction genre.

Thanks for any information,
Karen

Me too, I wonder if its a fast read, I have both books and haven't started either one yet.:confused3

I might be confused, but I'm pretty sure it starts with Odd Thomas, then Forever Odd, followed by Brother Odd. I might have the order mixed up, though. These are three I know of.

I had to look at mine...Odd Thomas is first, then Forever Odd and last is Brother Odd.

I have only read the first two, but when I finish one, I actually feel like I miss Odd. Like KarenB said, some of the Koontz books get a little "out there" for me, but I love Odd Thomas.

The pp had the order right. I love the character and I agree, I miss him when I finish one of the books. Knootz was only going to write the first one but Odd was so popular that he decided to make it a series and I am glad he did. I loved the first one, the second was a bit of a let down but the third "WOW" I loved it and I cannot wait for the next one.

I thought they were pretty quick reads. Not hard to follow and kept me wanting more.
