Bought the movie and enjoyed it more then Finding Nemo.

I usually get Best Buy coupons in the mail every month or two. I'll pick up BB when I can get a good deal on it.

Pretty good movie. Saw it in the theatre with DS 6 and DD 4; they loved it. Good story, good animation, characters I cared about, good music

We pre-ordered as soon as Disneystore.com offered it. Plus we got the plush Rutt & Tuke and the Lithos. The day it went of sale, it arrived at our door. Of course we watched it immediately.

I didn't see this movie in the theater, but we purchased it this past weekend, mostly for our 4 year old neighbor (he visits with his mom often and we are always looking for ways to keep him entertained).

We watched this movie last night (without the 4 year old neighbor) and I really enjoyed it. MUCH better than Lilo and Stitch and MUCH MUCH better than Monsters Inc. I loved the music, animation, characters, the story and ESPECIALLY the message about.

I am with pirateeast. I LOVED this movie. I took my 8 yr old neice to see it and we both cried! I am 31, don't have kids yet, but I was all over that movie. I really did enjoy this. I watched it 3 times the first weekend I had it.

You think it is acceptable for Disney to use movies as basis for theme park rides, because that is what everybody expects them to do (not because it's a good or smart thing to do or even that Disney has done well with it.) but it is wrong to go the other way, because that's not the traditional route?

Why should we care? PotC was an excellent movie loosly based on an excellent ride. So what? Why is it somehow tainted?


I think your taking a pretty extreme stance on your boycott and if purist means not liking anything done after Walt died, well, then I have to ask you why you post on a Walt Disney WORLD message baord?

Hehe...might be fun, but I'm not sure that thread would be very productive except maybe to entertain others. I've got a feeling there is nothing in the world I could say to get you to vote for Kerry and I'm quite certain there's nothing you could say to get me to vote for Bush! Being from Florida I'm already studying a guide on how to vote and will be practicing in preparation for Nov. 2nd!
