Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Welcome back everyone! :goodvibes I hope the real world hasn't been too startling and you are easing back in alright. MeMom, I wish you the best with starting school-you are teaching a new grade this year, correct?

Loving all the pictures so far, I'm seeing a few things of interest in DTD and hoping I can somehow increase my souvie budget!

Yes, I am moving to second, and it is none to soon! I've been ready to get away from TCAP for a long time, and a change is good every so often. It felt good knowing that I wasn't going to have to be at all those TCAP prep meetings they were talking about at the in-service yesterday! :cool1:

Welcome Home Memom and family,

Glad you are home safely and I hope your leg is doing much better.
Like many others have said....you made me cry. Your description of coming home and leaving family (friends) is spot on. I am a sentimental mush ball and I seem to get worse as I get older. :confused:I know your family had a wonderful time and you all made a ton of great memories.

Best of everything as you start a new school year. Is your school system having any budget issues and/or cut backs? In our county there are many changes and unfortunately, not for the better. :sad2:

:flower3:Take care of your leg...
Darlene

We always have budget issues, but they are always hiring teachers because they are always losing so many. 60% of first year teachers do not return. They know they can make more money and probably have less stress elsewhere!

:rotfl::rotfl::lmao::rotfl::rotfl:
You see, THIS is why I lurk around here! Thanks sooo much for the :goodvibes!

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

Well, whatever reason you hang around, be it our odd sense of humor, talking food, or maybe even declansdad's love of shopping pictures, we're glad you do hang around. Feel free to join in often. It makes it more fun!

MeMom, you are teasing us!

How so? :)

Do you mean you want real trip pictures? Jill has the first memory cards on her laptop, so I'll have to wait until she gets those loaded onto photobucket. As soon as she gets the first 250 on, I'll get started. School is taking up a lot of my time this week, so it may be just a little start until the weekend.

That picture is too funny MeMom!! I haven't tried the Corn Dog Nuggets yet! But, with as many people around here as there are who love them me thinks I may have to try them in Jan!

I'm not much of a corn dog person, but those were pretty good, I must say! It might have been the magic of eating them on Main Street USA, or it might have been that they're just pretty good. Possibly a little of both.

I have to say a big :thanks: for sending the "Disney Mail". Lexi was so happy and she was so proud to show me tonight after work. She thinks it's so fun to get postcards from WDW. She asked me why they never send them to me, because I'm the one with the money......:rotfl2: Too funny. She already put it on the fridge with the others. Thanks for the kind words you wrote to her.

it means so much to them and it makes them all feel special.

Yummy corndogs! I could gobble them all up with a little mustard & ketchup. :thumbsup2

Good luck with getting your class ready in time for the little ones. :teacher:

Punkin I pray that the geyser wish works and you are blessed with a little bundle soon! :goodvibes

That's what it is all about - making them feel special. Did you see brookelizabeth's picture of Henry holding his on her report? It was so cute!

If that geyser works like it did for Jill, they need to be setting up a crib now!

MeMom or Jill,

Did you see the new fountain with Snow White in Germany while you were there? Supposedly it is where she will do her meet and greet, with the prince at times... I am so interested to see some real pictures of this, and thought of you!

I never walked through Germany. I wish I had known before I left. I would have made a point to go look. The night we ate at Teppan Edo, we just walked past Germany. I knew I'd have time to stroll later. The way things were slowed down by having both little ones and with my leg like it was, we never got back to World Showcase as a group. I went over there for a few minutes I think it was Saturday or Sunday night, but my leg only could take going as far as Norway until I had to turn back. We'll try to find it in October, if we get to go.

My apologies for still not answering all replies. I am just about caught up with life post-trip, and regular replies to everyone will come soon, but right now, I'm mostly trying to just catch the questions. Please don't hold it against me, because I do want you ALL to stick around!

Have a great day everyone!

Since it's French, I think it's called a beret, right? ;)

And why? I do not know.
Just a stray fry that wanted to get into the picture, I guess.
Next time I have my food 'talk', I'll be more careful about the staging.

Are you going to make your food talk to us when you go in what, four days???:cool1:

All my food will be saying is "Don't eat me! I want to live!" :goodvibes

Morning MeMom,
I hope that your leg is feeling better today. Are you going to the doctor about it? Have a terrific Thursday planning for school.

love the pictures! :rotfl:

Hope you have a good start to your school year. Although I am really happy to be a stay at home mom I do miss a few things about being a full time teacher, especially the anticipation of a new school year in a bright, newly prepped classroom eagerly awaiting its new pupils (I taught 4 year olds, just starting school). Seeing all those brand new faces coming in for the first time, and knowing what I was about to embark on, always got me excited about teaching and reminded me why I was there. (before we got bogged down by all the other things I was expected to do that pretty much just get in the way of being their teacher )
Hope the challenges that lie ahead of you are, as far as possible, enjoyable ones!:goodvibes:

Your dds are adorableprincess:
Can you go to Disney on october so I can meet you there:rotfl2:
Cant wait to get this party started with your TR:banana::dance3::yay:

MeMom, you were dangling those yummy looking "talking" corn dog nuggets right under our noses. I may have to run to Sonic and get me a corn dog for lunch!
I have been back to work every morning this week trying to get a new classroom ready to be filled with 2nd graders. It's work but it's happy work!:goodvibes

I have a bulletin board picture to show you! It's just not moved over to photo bucket yet...

No worries MeMom. I just wondered about the wishing well. It looks cute on AllEars, but I wanted some first hand knowledge.

How is the leg doing now that you are attempting to rest... as much as you can the first week back at school!

There was one more message for some of you corn dog nugget lovers -
some of your corn doggie friends said to tell you...

disney09080.jpg

Sorry to report that they couldn't stick around long enough to say much more. :) They were very yummy, by the way!

Hello nuggets! :lovestruc

:rotfl2: I love your messages in the sand and with the corn dog nuggets!!! Especially this one! ;) 27 days! (i think my ticker is wrong! eek!)

I'm happy you caught Henry's pictures of him reading the post card on my PTR. I meant to post them here too---did I? Can't keep track some days! :goodvibes He was so thrilled with it - and we set it up on his shelves next to a picture frame and every time he sees it, he points and says "Mahee!" You bring a smile to his face every day!

All my food will be saying is "Don't eat me! I want to live!" :goodvibes

And you'll be kind enough not to eat it, right?

Morning MeMom,
I hope that your leg is feeling better today. Are you going to the doctor about it? Have a terrific Thursday planning for school.

Well, I can get into a shoe a lot better, and I can feel that I have feet now. Is that a good sign? :)

I do have to go to a doctor, but I have to have the time. Now that school has started back, I'll have to get an afternoon appointment. I'll do it pretty soon, because I don't like limping around.

I cleaned out two tubs of stuff that I won't use in second grade. Teachers seem to packrats, thinking they will surely use everything sometime in the future. I finally just threw some stuff away that I haven't used in several years.

love the pictures! :rotfl:

It felt good today to hear the meetings listed for 3rd-4th teachers and know that they didn't apply to me!

I taught three year olds at a Tuesday - Thursday school for several years long ago. Now that was fun! It was in a church program, so we just had fun and didn't have to be dictated by a bunch of rules and standards academically like we do at 'real' school.

Welcome! Jill still doesn't know about getting off. We have the room and the annual passes, so we're just waiting to see what her work allows her to do. We've got flight credit, so we'll just have to pay for food, which we are good about sharing when it's just us girls, and then Brooklynn will have to have a park ticket this time, since she'll be three. If we just get MNSSHP tickets and get her a 2 day ticket, we'd be fine with not going to the parks for a day or two. We could play in the pool, go to DTD, go see the animals at AKL, etc. Hopefully, we'll know soon so that we can work on the plane tickets.

I have a bulletin board picture to show you! It's just not moved over to photo bucket yet...

I'm excited to see the bulletin board. I didn't want to do the same outside board, even though I'm in a different grade and room, so I tried to think of something new. Nothing was just 'calling' to me. I knew it had to have a Disney connection, so I just decided to go with the Celebrate theme. I went to the Parent-Teacher Store and got a confetti border and some balloon and package cut-outs. I'm just going to put up something like 'Celebrating a new year of learning!' or something like that, and I'll put one of the Disney plush toys that I have that would fit with that theme.

I put up one board inside the room. It has Mickey in his Woody/Toy Story outfit and a rope. I'm going to use it as a student work board and put something like 'Rounding up good work!' on that one.

I've got some other Disney touches, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

No worries MeMom. I just wondered about the wishing well. It looks cute on AllEars, but I wanted some first hand knowledge.

How is the leg doing now that you are attempting to rest... as much as you can the first week back at school!

You know I'm always excited to see something new. I'll put it on the list for another trip!

It's somewhat better, but far from good.

I'm glad we could send that sweet little boy some happiness. When he smiles, you smile, right?, so the magic goes on! :wizard:

Hey Memom and Jill! I've been reading a long and feeling the sadness of ou guys being home, but have been a bit wrapped up in my own world. Apparently, my body isn't a huge fan of being 35+ weeks pregnant. My blood pressure has spiked again and I am now on hospital bed rest possibly until this little one gets here. We are hoping for a week or two, but at this point every day is a gift from God.

I can't wait to see that new bulletin board, hope the Oct trip comes together -- and there HAD BETTER be a Dr appt for that leg in the near future! Better watch it, I am a great nag! ;)

Hey MeMom, heading over to ebay to look for that Mickey wearing a Woody outfit, I love that "rounding up good work" idea! Keep them coming...:goodvibes

You'll be in our daily prayers. Keep us posted, and we hope to see that precious little girl soon, but not too soon. Have you finalized a name?

Yay you guys are home and had fun and are nice and safe! I've been busy so I haven't had a chance to log on until today but I was so excited to see what happened and what pictures were up!!:yay: I hope the return to school was good too! I love the TrenD pictures too! I can't wait to get in there!

I was so happy to come home from work tonight and see some shopping pics.
The soaps at Basin are so cool, I love all the different ones. The palmtree one is my favorite. I bet it smells sooo good in there! I would love to work in a store like that. :thumbsup2

Trust me darling, after a while you don't smell the stuff anymore! It just smells like work! People come in to F&P now and ask what the smell is and I have to say "You know, I don't know....I can't really smell it anymore! I just saw someone spray mango, it could be that!" When we recieved other perfumes at my new job yesterday it was like my nose came back to life!

Why is that one nugget wearing the french fry hat?
Oh dear....:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I nearly spit out my grape juice!! Now, it's started again with the quote....Oh my oh my!:lmao::lmao: I have to remember that!!

Since it's French, I think it's called a beret, right? ;)

Too witty MeMom!! :rotfl::rotfl2: I am going to make all of my Casey's corn dog nuggets wear french fry berets from now on!!!! I hope I remember!:lmao:
I can't wait to see what other foodie pictures you snapped! :)

If you can't find one on ebay, just call Disney Merchandising. They have them back in Frontierland. I got mine at a kiosk. It is pretty cute, I must say!

We are home, and we did have fun! Trent is ready to go back now! I think we're getting him hooked.

I took lots of food pictures, I assure you. As soon as Jill gets time to load the first 250 on photobucket, we'll be ready to show some of them.

Oh my goodness -- after the always-tiring first day of school with students, I so needed to see the message in the sand and the talking corn dog nuggets!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I love them!!!

Awwww, I love the sand picture!! It was so nice of you all to think of us stuck here at home!!! :rotfl2:

Hmm, those corn dog nuggets look really good and inviting! I have never had one at Disney before. I might be re-thinking that.....:thumbsup2

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you so much for the MIckey Mail! I had to take it away from Hollie and put it up. She carried it around for days!!! You are so very thoughtful!

So glad you all arrived safe and sound! So true about what you mentioned about the "UnMagical Express" upon departure and seeing the aniticipation at MCO for the new arrivals. Our family is next...we will be arriving within the next 10ish days...I'll say HI to your POP. Our first time! My kids are ever so excited! What bldg were you in this time? Also, any sighting from that adorable mickey ice=cream tote? Just adorable! I would love the pic to seek it...if you have time, of course, . Have a Great New School Year Memom!
