Scary stuff! Are these lunitics testing the waters so to speak to see if NY is lacking in it's preparedness? I hope not. If nothing else, it is a reminder to stay alert and not take safety for granted.

I've been at my current job for just under a year. I work downtwon, in a building that's just a few blocks from Ground Zero. my previous job was on Long Island, so I wasn't in the city on 9/11. but many of my coworkers were.

in the year that I've been here, we've had disaster drills, we've been handed information on where to meet in case the building needs to be evacuated, we've been handed paper filter masks and we've been told where the blankets and energy bars are stored in case of a disaster.

peoplein this office take all of that quite seriously. they remember a dust cloud that covered the entire neighborhood.

so I don't find these "pranks" very funny at all.

In my opinion these are not pranks, there are indeed terroist efforts to frighten the people of New York. This is just awful. I hate that this goes on and that the culprits may never be found.

Whoever plays these "pranks" needs to be punished to the full extent of the law. It's not funny in the least.

This is so nerve wracking! I just had to go to NJ on Sat. and traffic was a nightmare! All the Hudson river crosses were basically at a standstill. I have to bring my daughter to Giants Stadium on Sun., but figure I'll take the train into the city and then have someone meet us at the ferry on the Jersey side. I'm suposed to go to Giants Stadium on Tues., driving over this time, and all this stuff doesn't make me too thrilled to go. Not to mention my husband will be doing alot of flying over the next month and a half. I don't want to not travel, but boy does it make you pause and question the wisdom of it. I hope they get these people quickly!

Man, I am glad I didn't know about all these until I got home today. Just yesterday, the subway announced they're slowing down because of a "building collapse" on 59th street. I never know if it's true, but sitting inside the subway car right underneath 59th street is kinda scary at that moment.

Always something new everyday.
