Bronx Zoo

It is supposed to be in the mid 50's on Sunday. Is is worth going to the Bronx Zoo for the afternoon? I have never been there in the winter.

Oh yes there are all the indoor exhibits and many of the animals actually like the cooler weather.

The only problem is with a nice day like they are expecting on Sunday you might see it a touch crowded. But when we lived closer we would go all winter long.

I was very disappointed with the Bronx Zoo when I was there in May. I've been there many times before, but this time it looked very unkempt.

Absolutely, the Bronx Zoo is always good. No matter what time of year! I've been there in February. It was great.

I'm thinking I might go to the Botanic Gardens (across Fordham from the BX Zoo) tomorrow morning.

The Bronx Zoo is wonderful year round. We are members....so it makes sense to go at least a few times a year. If you aren't going to join...take a look for discount codes online...they are out there!!!

Yes, we often go to the (brookfield, chicago) zoo the friday after thanksgiving. It is empty and it is cold enough that the animals can run around without getting too hot.

We have gone to the Bronx Zoo quite a few times during the winter. Great time of year to visit! We are also members and love to go there as much as we can.

I just looked - the high for tomorrow is 43 - WAY TO COLD FOR ME!!!

Darn, we are supposed to be warmer here tomorrow, about an hour north of the zoo. I assumed it would be even warmer down there.
I really want to see the gorillas again, does anyone know if you can in the cold weather?
