I always wonder why rides go down. I know many times, its the guests at fault, often due to things falling or dropping where they should not be.
Over the years I have gleaned a few interesting facts about certain rides, and the non-guest reasons for closures.
1. Splash Mountain : I was told , often the water levels are flucuating due to leaks and “splashing” and the logs can beach themselves in certain trouble areas. Also many problems in the caves with the flying water causing pumping issues.
2. Pirates (see above) except it happens at the end of the ride where the water converts to a pully system.
3. ROTR: Kylo robot is a mess, but the big problems are the guns….the timing gets off with the cars and it auto shuts down there for safety reasons.
Anyone else have any inside info on chronic problems for certain rides?
