My sister just broke her arm and well we were wondering what attractions would be off limits and such. help would be kindly accepted!

Hello and welcome! A lot depends on which arm she broke, and where it is broken, along with how far from the time of injury to time of travel.

I had some serious shoulder issues for an extended time, and took some trips to DL and WDW during that period. For much of the time my arm was in a sling, which does get very hot in the summer (and winter!). I recommend that if she does have a sling, that she get the really good quality support ones as they do make a difference. Also making sure that she experiments with shirts etc to find ones which don't rub.

If she is flying, she should try and sit on the side of the plane which is most comfortable for her - again depending on which arm is injured. Many airlines don't have pillows anymore, so she may want to bring one for support.

As to rides, etc - depends again on how she is doing and what she injured. For the most part, I was ok to ride and only holding on with one arm (but I don't do RnR and rarely do Space Mountain anymore)

For me, the bigger issue was just the weight of carrying around dead weight all day. One doesn't realize how much a limb weighs until one has to carry it around for long periods.

Hope that helps, and that she still manages to have a great trip!

Be sure she takes one of those new click top sharpie to have her cast signed by all the characters

In general, the CMs won't stop someone from riding anything - the warnings are there for you to see and decide whether or not it is a good idea to ride or not. The only time someone would be stopped would be if the CM felt them riding would be dangerous (and I have not heard of them stopping anyone).

The attractions with warnings have a small warning icon on the park map. They also have warning signs before you enter the queue and before boarding. Some of the attractions might not be a good idea with a cast (like Space Mountain might be too turbulent and Primeval Whirl bumps you around a lot). Some, like Soarin', have a warning, but are much more gentle and wouldn't be a problem.
If you haven't yet, check out the disABILITIES FAQs thread. There is a link in there to go to the official Disney Guidebooks for Guests with Disabilities. They don't have a lot of information, but do have general info about whether a ride is a "turbulent thrill ride" and whether or not there are any warnings for that attraction. You can always post here to ask specifically about any attractions.
