broadway question

We are flying to NYC early Sat. am (hopefully.. we'll see with this weather). We were toying w/trying to see Addams Family on broadway for the matinee. Is this still possible? I know about the TKS booth, but I don't think we would be able to get there before noon. (On Ticketmaster it looks like there are still plenty of seats available.) Is there any chance there will be tix at the booth right before the show? Are they available for sale at the theater right before? Anything else I should try before we leave. Man are they $$$.

If you're heart is set on the Aadams family I would order online for a will-call pickup. The TKS booth is always hit or miss. The lady few times I tried for older shows-there was really no bargain. Phantom of the Opera on a Saturday was only 25% off, it's not like that one is a new show with a wait list.

I went and saw Addams Family in November. We got to the box office at the show around 11:30 and got decent seats. The show is really cute and funny. There's a good chance you'll be able to get tickets. Probably not as good as you will get online though.

so should we try to swing by the TKS booth first even if we can't get there 'till noon or so? Not sure how far apart everything is and I'm sure it's going to be very cold, but I'd like to save some $ if I can.

I saw too that they had student tix with an ID. Does that work for kids, or only college students?

Check out broadwaybox.com and see if there are any discounts being offered. It is Broadway 2 for 1 week and it might be one of the shows included....whether or not there are tickets available is another story. Good luck!

Definitely check out TKTS when you get there. This weekend you have a better chance because of the weather. The TKTS booth is about as close as you can get to Addams Family, so don't worry about that.

The student tickets depend on the theatre, so I'm not 100% about Addams Family, but most allow kids with a student i.d. to get student tickets. Just remember if you do that, you won't be sitting together. Student tickets are usually a separate area.
