We are huge disney fans and the broadway lion king tour is finally coming to a town near us!:Pinkbounc I want to take my 8 year old daughter.....does anyone know is all the action on the stage or do they come down into the audience at all like the broadway show cats. I'm torn as to whether to splurge and sit main floor or a little higher where she might have a better view of everything.

Thanks

The way it's done in NY, they do come into the audience at least twice.

It is a fabulous show, they do come down the aisles so being there would be good. We were on the main floor but not close to the front. My youngest DD was on the aisle and having some of the characters walk by beside her was great! More parade like interaction not really more than that.

Definately go for main floor. I took DD three times! Twice on the floor (2nd row once - that was too close because she couldn't see up over the stage) and once in the balcony. She much preferred about 10-15 rows back on the main floor. Also try to get an asle seat, this is where the animals come down.

Enjoy!

will we miss to much being up to close.....do we need a broader view farther back? The tickets sure are spendy!:earseek:

Great thanks for all the quick answers! Can't wait....to bad we have to wait clear till DEC. but will make a great christmas present!!!

I would recommend maybe a half dozen or so rows back. I have been close and further back, and I think up too close is not as good. It is a wonderful performance.

We had balcony seats both times we went in Chicago. DD was 5 at the time and I think she got much more of a perspective being up and able to see so much. The animals are only in the audience a couple times for maybe two minutes, going from theater rear to stage and vice versa. Also, two costumed musicians played in upper private boxes, which were much more visible from our standpoint. I vote that you save the money on the expensive seats and try to go more than once. It is such an awesome experience. You will not be disappointed.

I've seen it twice..once in LA and once on tour...I sat on the floor both times...I would say the best is somewhere near the middle of the theatre as far as rows, preferably on the end of a row....hope you enjoy it! I am sure you will1 It is AMAZING!

Teril,

We are in the Seattle area too  and I'm having the same issues you are. I think I have finally decided to *try* and get tickets on the main orchastra level. Hopefully I can order the tickets with the pre-order this week so I still have a chance of getting the main level!

I agree. We saw it from the balcony and getting the entire perspective showed how really spectacular the show is. You can view it as a cohesive unti rather than in parts if you were up close. If we go again I would definitely do the balcony. The show is spectacular!

Wow thanks for all the great responses! I finally ordered tickets today....We got main floor part way back on the aisle so hopefully they aren't to close.....I would have rather gone a price cheaper but for a $10 difference I was afraid we would be dissappointed with the balcony. Can't wait til DEC.!!!!
