Broadway Club

I loved In The Heights' performence. Thats the show I predicted to win. Its just sooo superior to the others.

I was underwelmed with Cry baby's performence. It seemed a little discheveled (sp?) and not really put together. I know its a great show and critics love it, but I just dont think this year was its year to win.

Likewise I was also underwelmed with the RENT performance. I mean they are closing after 10 years!! At least give us fans a little montage of all the best songs...possibly a slideshow of pics from RENT over the years.

I did like the Lion King performance. I know its hard for Disney show s to hold their own next to honest-to-god-real Broadway shows....but The Lion King manages to! Though, I felt The Little Mermaid to be amateurish and out of place.

All in all, I think I liked last years show better and am already looking foward to next year. With [Title of Show] and Jason Robert Brown bringing 13 to broadway...its gonna be a great show.

I was a little dissapointed at the RENT preformance.
It seemed really really short, although I was still jumping out of my seat when it came on.

The Lion King was awesome.
And In the Heights was really cool, I'm glad it won.

That was 12 years ago. Wow.
I was...3.

So my friend and I were talking about what it'd be like to be on broadway and be famous.
Then we continued on saying how annoying the screaming fans are on the videos of signings and such.
But then of course we go on to how if we were there we'd probably end up doing the same.
Then she told me "I want to hug Kristen and Idina. I want to tackle Anthony and I just want to touch Adam's hair. That's all I want, is to touch Adam's hair."
I was pretty much dying laughing at this point of our conversation.
Yes, I figured I'd share that because it was so hilarious. Lol.

^^ hahaha

I want to touch Jonathen Groff. Hes sooooooo cute!!! I just want to shake his hand, or give him a hug, haha but really I will probably never meet him. gahhhh thats one of my unrealistic dreams.

I still want to touch Adam's hair. xD

I just saw Sweeney Todd in Houston. It was good but very interesting because there was no actual orchestra...all the 10 actors were playing the instuments on stage. It made it very cluttered. All in all it was strange but still good. The Beadle had the best voice in my own opinion. But Mrs.Lovett was really great! Todd was so so.

Sounds interesting. I like when theatre has an added obscure factor in it (like actors playing instruments).

Mrs. Lovett is probably one of my favorite characters across all Musical Theatre. She is so twisted and complex. I hope someday I can play her.

Oh.
It's not coming on for 10 minutes. Good, I thought I missed it. :p
Thanks for saying something, I'll have to watch it.

Gahhh I missed Idina! *cries*

Although, I must say, seeing her in a rubber catsuit in RENT...wow...

I love in the movie during "Take Me or Leave Me" when she gets on the pool table and starts crawling on it....gahhhh....*blushes*

I've got news!!

I'M SEEING LEGALLY BLONDE!!

The tour! It starts in MY hometown! AND I HAVE TICKETS!!

Next mission: Avenue Q and/or SA ;)

^^
"Ohmigod ohmigod you guys...looks like Elle's gonna win the prize...if there ever was a perfect couple this one qualifies....ohmigod you guys."

I lova that show.

I'd like to do a lot more to Adam than touch his hair. For serious. O_O

I watched the Tony's! I thought the Rent performance was WAY to short! Lion King got to sing a full song, and they're just celebrating 10 years. Rent is CLOSING, it totally should have had more time. But I bawled during the short time it was on, lmao.

I'm so glad In the Heights won Best Musical! I was hoping they'd sing 96,000, so I was really happy with their performance at the Tonys. :p I also like Passing Strange a ton, it deserved to win way more than 1 Tony!

I hate Xanadu, but loved their performance, because any time Cheyenne Jackson wears hardly anything is okay with me. :lovestruc
