Hello

Has any one ever travelled to Sanford with Brittania airways if so what are they like.

We would also like to fly their equvilant to premium economy has anyone flown in that class.

Regards

I flew with them last year - but to Cancun not Orlando.

Assuming its the same set up - their premium cabin basically got us a seat back video screen and more legroom. On the whole we were basically paying to get more or less what you get on BA or Virgin as standard class.

Seeing the lack of room behind us however meant it was money well spent.

Apologies if they offer something diferent on the Orlando flight.

:smooth:

We flew with Britannia in April this year, it wasn't too bad although there is not a lot of leg room. I would definately upgrade if you can, we tried but as we booked through Thomas Cook we were told we couldn't as they were for Thomson customers only. There wasn't any back seat tv's they were only in the premium seating I believe but that wasn't a problem as we could still see the screen and to be honest I read my Florida book on the way out. :earsboy:

Hi,
We also flew with them in April this year- economy. We couldn't fault them. The money that we saved was well worth not having seat-back TV's etc.
We found the leg room OK- but we are not particularly tall... I think it's also the width that's a bit restrictive- there doesn't feel like there's much elbow room.
However we were prepared to put up with this and I didn't miss having seat-back entertainment at all- I was too excited to watch TV on the way and too tired on the way back!
I think Britannia are great value for money- but I can understand why people with children to keep entertained or taller people prefer to pay more and get more.
Hope this helps!

I travelled to Sanford with Brittania last year, definately upgrade if you can afford it, at least for the overnighter back, the lack of seat back tvs in economy meant my son had to sit at a really weird angle to try and see the film, also not much width in the economy seats as someone else mentioned, snacks etc on board are way expensive but cigarettes are very cheap!

I would definately upgrade for coming back. Going over we were excited so it didn't seem to matter but on the way home it was awful. People were trying to sleep so therefore the seats were back and there isn't a lot of width to the seats so I must admit to feeling pretty claustrophobic and so spent a fair bit of time standing at the back. It was still worth it for the money we saved flying with other airlines. This time we are using JMC as the travel agent told me they were the best for charter flights but only time will tell. :confused3

just tried out the jmc.com site, it lets you book through them but if you want to go flight only it takes you to the TC website. All the planes are operated by TC aswell I would say for the last couple of years.

I tried the JMC.com site as well to find out about the planes but I kept getting the TC site. Hopefully they are good, the travel agent said they were one of the best for charter flights as they have more leg room and also back seat tvs so just keeping my fingers crossed.

We flew home last night with Britannia in their Premium seating, having flown out in the 'extra legroom' seats in economy because the aircraft didn't have Premium seats (normally you have to upgrade on both legs of the journey or not at all).

Going out in the extra legroom seats in economy was okay - we had plenty of room and could see the TV screens fine as we were at the front. The standard seats looked a bit tight, especially the row of four in the centre.

On the way back yesterday we had the Premium seats and felt they were well worth the extra cost. The upgraded meal, free drinks and seat-back TVs were a nice touch, but not make-or-break features; it was the extra bit of space that made the most difference for us.

We'd definitely use them again (and upgrade) as their regional deartures are usually more convenient for us than Virgin / BA's London departures. We prefer Sanford to Orlando International for simplicity, but agree it would be pretty limited if you were delayed there for too long!

Thanks everyone. I decided against them and have booked to go with first choice in their new star premium class looked very good and at a good price.

I nearly booked Brittania but I'm glad I put this thread on here because I feel I would have been disapointed.

Thanks again

Hi there,

We have just come back from Orlando after flying with Brittania and on the whole we found them excellent (apart from the food!). The crew were great and we were on time leaving both ways. Would definately recommend them.

Enjoy!
