On my trip to WDW in 2004, I took a Britta bottle and loved it. They have the filters in them like the Bobble but when you screw off the top, it was wide enough to fit ice. Sence then I have been having trouble finding the filters for them because they were discontuned but THEY'RE BACK!!! They look a little diffrent but I just found them at Meijer 2 for $17.99 or $9.99 each!!

I was so excited I just had to tell some one!!!

I was looking for these about a month ago for our trip but ended up finding this instead (drugstore.com has the brita ones now, but they weren't available when I was looking): http://www.amazon.com/Clear2GO-Wate...MBSG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1302492195&sr=8-2

I've been thinking of getting these for our trip. You would recommend them for WDW?

Absolutely! Back in the day everyone recommended it to me and I was so glad I brought one! You can request ice water EVERYWHERE and they give it to you...problem is, it tastes awful (sulfur I guess).. this way it gets filtered as you drink it.

This is great news. I have two of the older versions and they were great.

I bought 3 of the older version, thinking we would use them all the time at WDW. Nope. We got REALLY tired of dragging them around every day. By about Day 3 we were leaving them in the room just so we didn't have to carry them in the parks.

:thumbsup2 Agreed! ... and you can take the filter out if you want to mix in a drink mix (forgot to once, gunked up the filter)

To thoes who have the old Brita bottles: The filters look the same, I'm going to try them next time I go out to Meijer, If some one else beats me to it, let us know!

IMO, I don't think the CS restaurant ice water tastes bad at all - it's just fine. Certainly not the same kind of water that comes from the WDW drinking fountains. (And I'm pretty picky! I don't like the tap water in Florida.)

OP - what type of store is Meijer? It must be regional - I've never heard of it before. Is it a sporting goods store, or a store like Target or Costco? Thanks!

Have to agree it is just one more thing to carry - no thank you.

We spend $14 every year and ship 2 cases of water from Costco to our resort - pop them in the fridge at night and take them a few to the park in the morning. Best part is you throw them away when you are done. I hate carrying stuff at WDW.

I would compair it to a Wal-mart. It has food and clothes and everything in between.

This looks really useful thanks. Do you just remove the filter with a twist if you want to use flavor packets or do you take the filter element out of the basket?

Does anyone know if there are filter bottles that filter the water going in instead of as you drink it?

You can take out the filter but it would just be easier to take the whole top off and pour in the flavor packet.

I've never seen one that filters on the way in.

There kind of are but they are for backwoods backpacking and they are very expensive and are designed to remove all the nasty bugs out of the water.

Its like a little hand pump with a hose you put your stream and then another that you attach to your bottle. Not really useful for WDW.

Something like this:

What you would need to so is use two bottles one with a filter to process the water and one to drink out of.

They have these at Target and the pack of 2 filters was on sale for $6.99.

Can you fit ice in a bobble? :confused3 If so I would go that rout (they're cheeper)
