Hi
Seen loads of comments about the "Brits Guide to DLP". Is this a worthwhile purchase? What kinda things does it have in it?? Does anyone know if I can go to a shop and buy this guide?? I know that you can get it on amazon but i'm like wanting it yesterday!! :rotfl:

I think you can get it in the travel section of any bookstore.
In my opinion though, it doesn't have anything in it that you can't get from the Disney website, the Disney DLP brochure, and this site ;).

Too true about this site. Message boards are easily the best source of information. Most questions that get asked on here are normally answered within a day.

It's a fantastic resource and there's lots of helpful and knowledgeable people on here :thumbsup2

WHSmith sells it, at £9.99, i think it is a good thing to keep with you, i keep mine in my bag and read it on the bus :) plus back page has 20%| off voucher for food at plant hollywood and 10% off at the planthollywood shop. Some good pictures and maps. i love mine. im glad i got it.

I would say if you don't mind spending the money it's a pretty good resource all in one handy book. That being said, there is nothing in that book that couldn't be found on the internet for free.

I agree ::yes:: I always like to have a book but, thanks to the internet, you certainly won't miss out on anything if you don't buy one.

I had some credit on Amazon that was just begging to be spent :rolleyes1 so I bought The Unofficial Guide the other month as it was quite a few years since their last edition and I thought I'd buy this rather than the Brit's Guide.

It was on Amazon not too long ago for less than £6, to be honest that's a bargain and having bought one I can highly recommend.

As others say though these boards are also a fantastic resource and it's also nice to be able to ask specific people questions and get a helpful reply.

When I went last year I borrowed a copy from the library and wrote down any useful info I thought I'd need, though hubby thought it was ours and stuck it in the bag and we took it with us :scared1:

Try borrowing it first and see if there's anything you don't know/ might need from it.

We bought a copy last year, flicked through it and haven't really looked at it since. I became such a huge fan of this site it just wasn't needed :rotfl2:

thats a great idea - borrow from the Library first :thumbsup2.

I bought mine for about £6.00 on Amazon before our first visit as I was recmmended to get it. I did get lots of info off the site and here etc but it was handy to carry my book around for hints, tips, maps etc. Also for £6 you can save that at Planet Hollywood with the 20% discount so pays for itself.

guess what I've just had through as a recommendation email from Amazon - the Brits Guide to DLP :goodvibes - £5.98 and free delivery.
