We ordered our copy from Amazon on Sunday...it arrived today and when we went shopping in Birmingham today, there was no sign of it in the shops......so WE'RE happy!!!

So what's going on with Amazon then???? We ordered our Brits Guide 2004 on the 28th October and were told it would be out on the 31st Oct and sent shortly after.

Still nothing........

I can beat that (I'm sorry to say)! I ordered my copy on 6th September and the online order tracking tells me that I should expect to receive it on 10th December!

I have emailed them to ask what is going on - but only got a standard response

Ordered ours from WHSmith online on 7th Nov to be delivered to local store.
Still shown on the site as Invoiced

However, the store phoned this afternoon to say it was there and waiting to be collected - wahay!!

As I've said on the other thread related to this, it may be worth your while RINGING Amazon to double check. We did this with our 'Unofficial Guide' order, and recieved it within two days. I think it's the 'advanced orders' bit that goes haywire. If you order once a book's been released, it gets there no problem.

Yesterday, I sent Amazon a very strongly worded email 'demanding' that they send me my copy immediately. Amazingly, so they say in their email response today, they have now suddenly got stocks in and can now satisfy my order, significantly ahead of the previously promised date of 10th December. I understand it has now been dispatched!

If anyone else has been waiting for ages, I suggest you email them demanding your copy!

Got my copy this weekend when my wife agreed that we can go in May :

Havnt bought a new edition for 2 years and its still a great read and full of cool tips

I look forward to carrying it around for 2 weeks in the sun again and bringing it home soggy, battered and bruised
