On another thread someone mentioned that the Britax seats were too big to fit in the airline seat. I have used my DD's Roundabout in an Airtran seat with no problems. However, I have a Marathon for DS and it is bigger. I could use the Roundabout for DS still (DD doesn't need on and is now in a booster), but would prefer to use his Marathon. Both are approved for air travel.

Has anyone fit a Marathon into an Airtran seat?

I used my dd's Marathon on Delta and American. They were both smaller planes.

I don't know about Airtran, but I had my sons in their Marathons on Jet Blue, one forward-facing, one rear-facing. They fit just fine.

I had bought the Marathon just before we flew to Boston last summer. I had debated taking it on for ds but just decided to check it. I was told they really didn't need it on the plane. I guess it makes sense to have it like you would in a car but I figured it would be ok on the plane.

go to www.babybargains.com and go to the message board. You can find anything you need to know about carseats and strollers when it comes to travel. They even have a disney forum, I think.
