Brita water bottles

After researching the price of water, and the lack of cases of water, available at WDW, I've decided to pick up a couple of Brita bottles. We won't be able to stop on the way in from the airport, so I can't do a grocery run. I have to have my water, and I remember the fountain water in Florida tastes kind of... sulphur-y.

Has anyone had better luck with a different brand of reusable filtered water bottle? The reviews on Amazon of the Brita bottles have quite a few complaints about leaking.

Hi! My family and I use the Bobble, and we've always had great luck with it. We bought them for our 2010 trip, and have continued to use them even here at home. The filter is good for approximately 300 uses. We never had a leak with any of the 4 Bobbles we own. We'll definitely be bringing them with us for our July trip this year.

You can find them everywhere from Target to Old Navy to Macy's. The Bobble itself is $8-$10, and the refills are about $5.

ETA: The bottle itself is clear, and the filters come in enough colors that we each chose a different color in order to differentiate its "owner".

:)

I used a Brita one last year for the parks and loved it. It's actually my one of my everyday water bottles too, and I have never had problems with it leaking or anything. My dad used my Camelbak bottle while we were in Disney, and he did comment a couple times that he wished he had a filtered bottle because the water did taste different than the tap water we are used to.

I have used my same Brita bottle for years and have never had a problem with it leaking. It makes a big difference in the taste of the water.

Camelbak makes a version with a filter! I recently picked up one at our Target for my DD who is in love with Camelbaks. It's more pricey (I think it was $25), but since she drinks so much more water with it, I think it's well worth it. We're definitely planning to take it on our trip to The World in December. (DxH and I will be using Bobbles).

I love my Brita bottle! I carry it everywhere, but especially at work. It will definitely be going to WDW with me in September. Mine does not leak, btw.

I just ordered these from rubbermaid the reviews are all awesome, I had read about the brita leaking issues as well so I'm going with these.

I bought a rubbermaid for our trip last oct. to FW (knowing our main water supply would be a spigot and i had baby formula to mix)... I have been using it every day since. the price is about the same as brita, the filters get a change every 3 months. I'm very happy with it. I may get a few more for the next trip!

For the leaking just remove the plastic loop under the big cap. It lets the cap screw down a little bit more and really has no use.

Also at Walmart in the camping section there are insulated sleeves with carabiners attached that work great. You need the larger ones like that hold 800ml bottles.

It does look like Rubermaid looked at the problems with the other two and engineered around them, like that it appears that they have better water flow.

Also it look like they also fit regular bottle holders. The Bobble, while it looks like it won design contests, doesn't seem to fit anything.

For our Bobbles, we went to Big 5 (sports store) and got these cozies (like beer cozies, remember those?) that have loops on the end--they fit the medium Bobbles perfectly, and we put a carbiner on the loop so they attach to the backpack or beltloops. Big 5 is the only place I've seen these, and they're the only ones we've found that fit.

I checked out the Bobbles at Target and they seemed a bit too flimsy for me. It's an odd personal thing- I don't like thin plastic bottles, I always feel like they'll split or something. I know they won't, but I'm weird like that. So I spent a couple of days looking for the Brita bottles and not finding them anywhere. I happened to go to Lowe's for something else and saw them on sale - so I picked them up (cheaper than Amazon!) and none of them are leaking so far. Water tastes just fine, and my town has some icky tap water. Thanks for everyone's input- to the Bobble purists- it's nothing personal, I promise! ;)

We used the Britta bottles in April and loved them. We now take them everywhere! We use them at baseball games and don’t have to buy water bottles and make more trash for the landfill or recycler. Every once and a while they leak and I simply remove the cap and re-tighten and the leak stops. I can't say enough good things about these bottles. I attached an aluminum carbineer to them so they clip just about everywhere. The flow is different than a regular unfiltered bottle and will take a few days for you to adjust.

Just my two cents for a $10 bottle.
