Brita water bottles - where do you get them?

how much are they? what makes them different? how often do you have to change filters? how much are filters?

I just bought mine today at Wal-mart. It was back in the hardware section, along with all the other water filtration devices. It ran $6.47 and I believe that the extra filters for less that $6. The Brita bottle looks like a sports bottle, but it has a water filter that fits inside after you fill the bottle with water. So it actually filters the water as you drink it out. The box says that the filter is good for 15 gallons or 3 months.

We were able to get ours on ebay for $4.50 each. They make the water taste much better and save you a ton of money on drinks.

Does Florida water taste funky without the filter?

I don't know about FL as a whole, but yes WDW water tastes bad, to me at least.

I thought WDW water tasted fine last time we were there....but then again, I live in a small town and I've always thought the water here is so bad. Or maybe it was just that walking and walking and walking that I was delirious and had no idea...lol....

Orlando water has a sulphur-ish taste. The brita water bottles make a HUGE difference, tho. My Walmart has the filters on clearance for $1.00 each. Its not just Disney, tho. Its the whole Orlando-Kissimmee area. We are always on a budget and when dining out drink water most of the time. I was amazed that some of the area's restaurants don't 'filter' their water,(Smoky Bones, Black Angus, etc) but that the cheapie places usually do! (LJS, Checkers, Burger King)
