bringing your own lysol on board/is this really necessary?

Frequent hand washing is still considered the best line of defense against infection. Keep your hands away from your nose, eyes and face.

Anyway, I just had to look up this "anti-virus" stuff. Found the website. Although it does not state it outright, sounds like it is related to benzalkonium chloride, a well known wound and pre-surgery cleaner. It can be used to decontaminate skin and has few side effects. Yes, it is clear and odorless.

But there was a great report on NPR yesterday detailing a study on the effectiveness of anti-bacterial cleaners, soaps, etc. NOT anti-viral. There are even good reasons not to use them.
