Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has brought their laptop onboard with them? My main reason is so I can upload pictures each day and make room on my memory card.

Yes, I do this also! You can also have Shutters upload them on a disc for you, but it's kinda pricy. I just perfer to do it myself in my room. If you are planning on having internet access in your room....Disney doesn't offer that. :(

I also never had any problems with the cast members taking or messing with my electronics. ;)

Have a great cruise

We usually take ours as well. It serves both as a download center for the digital pictures taken and as an entertainment device for watching movies on the plane ride to and fro.

I normally try to edit pictures some and change the names to something more descriptive than a series of numbers as the camera default.

I always bring mine for the same reasons. We grab a handful of DVDs to watch while traveling and to transfer files from our digital cameras.

Missy, Catherine, and I all have digital cameras so we couldn't live without having a laptop to transfer the files to. Besides we get to view the pictures right away.

It is also worth considering how many rechargeable or electronic devices you are bring. The ship has a few outlets, but I also pack an extension cord or surge protector.

I did not bring one on board my first trip but will this tiime ffor the same reasons listed. I also will carry my laptop cable lock for the table.. :badpc:

With memory sticks so cheap, we just brought enough memory sticks.
If a memory stick gets damaged, I'm out my pictures and $19. If my laptop gets damaged, I'm out my pictures and $2000. Besides, I was on vacation, the laptop and cell phone stayed home. Never missed them.

We brought ours and used it to download photos, look at them, and also to connect for internet in ports (via our cell phone). We never had any problem. I would not worry at all. Just don't check it and keep it with you until your room is ready.

As for a cell phone, in this day and age I would not go anywhere without one. Needed it to call cabs, make arrangements for airport pick ups, etc.

I have. Its been very useful. Hard to find an outlet, but overall very useful. I would recomend it to anybody that has one. The only trouble is security in the airports require you to take them out.

This is why I make sure to include a CD burner. That way, the pictures are on CD as a backup to the hard-drive crashing.
