Bringing Snacks onboard, carry on? or okay in checked bags?

Flying out tomorrow for our June 1st cruise on the Dream!! Wondering if i am bring on a few packaged snacks for our trip can i leave them in my suitcase to be checked on the cruise? Or do i need to carry them on with us until our stateroom is ready? I saw the new snack policy, but i didn't see anything about checking vs carry on.

What's the new snack policy?

As far as I know there's nothing that prohibits pre-packaged food in your checked bags, but remember that the bags are not treated delicately. They are thrown, stacked, and could be left out in the heat. I wouldn't pack anything that could melt, like chocolate, in my checked bag.

As long as they can't damage anyone else's bags and sealed its ok. No fruit no liquid based items IE the container could split and damage your and others clothes. Care sniffer dogs patrol and some goods could smell like things the dogs are looking for. Drugs for example are hidden in foods.
