we are going to Disneyland on July 18th and have to bring our own food to the hotel. The hotel has a small fridge.

We are planning on bringing mac n cheese single cups, can pasta, sandwiches. Does anyone have any other ideas of food to bring.

We will be driving from Phoenix, and we get free breakfast at the hotel

Thank you for any suggestions.

If you guys like tuna, those individually wrapped packages with the crackers are pretty handy! And of course, Lunchables are always really easy. Will you be packing trail mix and granola bars and things like that for car/day snacks?

I'm sure other DIS'ers will have loads of great ideas for you! :goodvibes

Have fun!

We mainly bring snack and breakfast foods to the hotel with us. For snacks, we take microwave popcorn, granola bars, fruit and fruit snacks. For breakfasts we bring frozen waffles, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. Oh and we bring all our beverages. :)

Have a great trip!!

We like individual fruit cups and applesauce and pudding cups. I also make chex mix and beef jerky for the car trip. Pringles travel well since they are in a can. Pretzels, yogurt covered raisins, goldfish crackers... i usually let my kids pick snacks to keep in their own bag for the parks.

Hope this helps! Have a great trip!!:goodvibes

So is the kitchen option not so good? That is what I was planning on, but wonder if I really will cook. I suppose thru snacks and things I could pull it off, and be able to stay closer

Before we got an appartment down there, we used to always get our own food. You can save yourself a lot of money that way. Any type of snack that doesnt require room in the fridge such as bars, puddings, canned fruit, or fruit cups also work great.
Those are all items you could also take with you right in the park and save some more money.

Good Luck

I second the person that mentioned the tuna kits. They are convenient and no fridge req. You could also get some summer sausage (sold by Hickory Farms during the holidays) -- and have sausage on crackers, maybe some cheese too.

We like taking sandwich fixings and going back to the hotel for a midday break, at least sometimes, not every time. :) We like the cup of soups, crackers, cheeses, meats, mac n cheese singles, oatmeal (makes a good meal anytime of day really), granola bars, fruit bars. Once we went to Trader Joe's before we left and we took salad mixes, veggies and salad dressings, we even took the premade enchiladas they have in their cold section. Just heated them up and YUM!!!

We like to take tortillas, hot dogs, lunch meat, cheese and mayo. We can make roll ups really quickly. This last trip, we also took pepperoni and pizza sauce. Spread the sauce on a tortilla, top with pepperoni and cheese, roll up and microwave for about 30 seconds, and you have a really nice lunch.

What about those pre-made PBJ's made my Smuckers, dang it, can't remember the name.

My kids love those. Applesauce cups, yogurt, oatmeal, chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, goldfish crackers, yummy cookies (to avoid buying that special treat in the park).

We are leaving this upcoming weekend and driving to DL from Oregon. We will be there for 6 days- and I am bringing a big duffel bag full of snacks, etc.. for my 8 yr old son...I am bringing him fruit roll-ups, a variety of 100 cal snack packs, craisin snack packs, cup-o-noodles, a box of cereal, pop tarts, micro popcorn, hot cocoa, juice boxes, snck sized bags of chips, fruit cups, sandwich stuff, etc... He is a snacker, and this way I can make sure he has plenty of stuff to eat while we are there...

We really like the Stretch Island Fruit Leathers you can buy at costco. 100% actual fruit so a great snack and really easy to transport. String cheese is another favorite.

My kids also like to do hot chocolate so we bring packets of these and mini marshmallows. Lipton also makes a "cold brew" ice tea that I love for vacation so I can have my iced tea for cheap on vacation, even if there is no microwave. One of the best inventions ever :cloud9:!

Also don't forget to bring sandwich size ziploc baggies to divvy out snacks and sandwiches each day. We also bring a few microwave safe bowls from home (for soup/ easy mac/ cereal) and a sleeve of plastic cups.

I love the Cajun Snack mix from Target. It is their brand and comes in a big tub. It has peanuts, pretzels, sesame bites, and little (mild) spicey crackers. The peanuts give me some energy and protien to keep going without having to eat again soon and the rest just make it taste good. :) I took a handful of this to work everyday to have at snack time. I will be bringing this with us to munch in line. :goodvibes

We go to trader joes and grab premade salads. They have 3-4 days on them :) mmm good and they are only 3-4$ each too
With a slice of French bread it makes a great meal.

Now i want an apartment there like Disneyfairytale!

hhmmm... i'm going to have to look into this.

ummm... for the kids ... i take toddler meals... they are like little tv dinners that don't have to be refrigerated.. you can buy them at target on the aisle with the baby snacks. they have options like chicken and pasta.. with peas and carrots and a little dessert. The kids love them.

For the adults.. we pack a tray of mini croissants and some deli meats and cheeses.. chips and fruit. Oatmeal for breakfast and precooked bacon. Hot chocolate in the winter and individual packets of flavored drinks for water.

Sometimes a really good cup of creme of chicken soup is good in the winter.

And if we are flying in..we grab some of the salads at the airport.

Have fun whenever You are going!

I forgot to say earlier.....don't forget the plastic spoons and forks!

Breakfast stuff (I know you said you get b-fast, but maybe this for snack/lunch):

oatmeal
waffles/pancakes/toast and bring a small toaster
pre-made bacon...it's pretty good actually!
make a quiche before you go and bring it with you!
cereal and buy some milk...don't forget bowls! or buy the individual packs with their own bowl

lunch:

Uncrustables or pb&j
BLT's....with premade bacon, loaf of bread, and bring toaster
sandwich meat for sandwiches (get mustard/mayo packets before you go)
can of tuna or chicken...bring lots of packets of mayo!
bologna sandwiches

dinner:

Bring a small George Foreman grill...you can do anything with that! get hamburgers, chicken, steak, grilled cheese, etc.
canned raviolis, pasta, etc.

snacks
the usual (chips, crackers, etc. I like pringles because they travel well)
almonds...they will fill you up!
cheese sticks
applesauce or fruit cups
yogurt or gogurts frozen
raisins
granola bars or energy bars

slimfast shakes
carnation instant breakfast

remember to bring plastic plates, bowls, cups and silverware
get grocery delivery to the hotel so you don't have to lug groceries...or stop at store on your way

Your choices are endless....just depends on your access to food and small appliances.
