O.k. - I am really last minute with this, we are just a few hours from leaving for our trip, and now I'm stressed out! I didn't thoroughly read the permission form that the parents of our kids' friends need to sign. Now I see that it needs to be notarized. So, my friend who's a commissioner of the court signed it but didn't have his seal with him. Is it necessary to have the seal?

I would certainly think so....isn't the purpose of getting something notarized having it signed and stamped ...? ::yes:: But hard to tell how DCL would handle it, maybe a call into DCL would help put you at ease....

Good luck on your trip and have fun! :wave2:

We have taken our friends' son with us a few times and did have the form notarized. We even had a typed letter giving us permission to seek medical care for him that his parents signed and had notarized.

Don't remember if DCL inspected the form or not but I felt better having it notarized as instructed on the documents.

What form did you use? We might be taking DS's friend along and I was wondering about this.

It is supposed to be notarized. Part of the notarization is the seal. Now, whether or not they accept it without the seal , I don't know...but officially they require it.
Disney has a form that they send to you (to answer the other question below.)
