Is tomorrow the start of your 6 days at sea?:yay: :yay:
That was the best part for me. Get ready to have SO MUCH FUN!!!Hopefully the weather will be good for you so they don't have to keep postponing the parties.

I'm SOOOO curious to see how rough the seas will be.

Have fun everyone!!!:cheer2:

Are you going to see Disney Magic Cruise back home to Port Canaveral on 1st Sept? Just wonder if people will turn up to watch it or not? As you lives 30 mins away from it or Orlando?

My times 5 hours behind mean 1.30 am so I think I watch at web com:rolleyes1

I know how you feel that you wish on that Cruise so I wish too!!

Typically the ship arrives back in Port Canaveral around 5am (doesn't it?)
If it's after 9am, I'll be there. Otherwise I'll be sound asleep...

Does anyone have a confirmation as to what time the ship arrives?

As far as I know, everyone made it (although a couple of times at guest services I heard people calling around about their luggage, so I don't know if anyone lost bags permanently).

It was an interesting day in Gibraltar, considering my signature line and avatar. I had a real monkey knife fight on my head! I'll have to photoshop in the knives, but two jumped on me at the rock and were having at it!!

I hope you got some pictures:thumbsup2

I think it's anyones guess. The last trip we took, we watched us come into port and yes it was really early. Somewhere between 4 and 5 am. I wonder if the port would have that info as they need to have the workers unload and load the ship. And then again would they release that info?

I love reading your reports. I was one of the lucky ones that brought the Magic to the Med and now I am living vicariously through everyone! Thanks for the updates - the 6 days at sea are heavenly. Enjoy it all!:)

OK.....
I know everyone gets sick of these types of questions but on behalf of many of us cruising on the Sept. 8th sailing, we have some things to ask. If anyone can please, PLEASE answer one or more of these questions, we would greatly appreciate it!

Any chance you could list the movies showing in the Buena Vista Theater?

Could anyone list the in-cabin movies that are showing?

Who is the current cruise director? Are they staying on when the Magic gets back to Canaveral? If not, who will be taking over?

Are any of the following crew members currently onboard. If so, will they still be onboard in September?
Conrad from Jamaica (server)
Aswald from St. Vincent (assistant server)
Roberto (server)
Ronald from the Netherlands (head server)
Sasha from Croatia (Palo)
Lourdes (Promenade Lounge Bartender)
Yoeman (Bartender at Signals and deck bars)
Wesley (room steward)
Kadir (Bartender at Signals and deck bars)

What is the current band onboard? Will they be staying on in September?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from a friend who's on the ship right now, and she says the internet service is reeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllly slow. It took 20 minutes to just open up an email. She gave up. Given the rates of both internet service and international phone service, the phone call was actually cheaper.

We were on the Aug 8-18 cruise. I know I saw Conrad from Jamaica. Brent was our cruise director, but I was told he was leaving for vacation when our cruise ended.

They were playing Ratatouille, Pirates of the Caribbean: At world's End and-- I think-- Dead Man's Chest too. Don't remember the others.

We moved into a new house 7 days before our cruise. I am STILL waking up in the night wondering where I am!

It was a wonderful 10 days....................
Beth

Good to hear that someone may have seen Conrad.

Anyone know who is taking over cruise directing after Brent?

I saw someone ask about Sasha in Palo...yes, he is here! We've had him, Gemma, and Anne Marie there.

I will make this quick because the internet is BAD, but my trip report is almost 30 pages so I will post it as soon as we get home. So far the seas are calm, the skies are blue, and life is EXCELLENT on the Atlantic!

Is Melanie still on this cruise, she is the BINGO Queen? If so, tell her Kathie and the girls say hi. We were on the 07/18-07/28 cruise

Is Rachel not the cruise director on the way home?

Did they do the "Dancing with the Stars" parody yet???

Any famous guests on board?

To answer a few questions:
Seas are very calm, one night of swells according to the Captain,
Dancing with the officers was last night, and Rachael danced with Don "Ducky"Williams at the end, and it was a big hit.
Other Celebs, Jim Brickman the last night at Tenerife, and tonight Susan Egan. Other than that, Just the usual shows and events.
The days at sea have been great, plenty of things to do or not, depending on your wants.
Weather looks good until we get to Castaway Cay.

Signing off,
Ken

nice to hear from you ken. hope things are going well..regards to laura pam and chrissie and we are looking forward to the photos:thumbsup2

the weeather was fantastic and the seas were like glass most of the time (largest swells--8 feet). spotty showers, plenty of sun! an absolute perfect voyage!

Hi everyone - your all probably wondering who the heck is this person????

Well, I actually posted several times before I left, well my family and I did the 11-night July 28 and then went to Paris. I returned to do this repo and overall had a fantastic time.

I just caught this page's comments as my laptop is only a single processor and not a dual which is what I had before the cruise and it went kaput!

Anyway, wanted to reiterate. Saw Conrad - he's still there. Rachel was the CD but you didn't see her wondering around like she did on the PC '05 cruise. She DID however, participate in the skit - If I were not upon the sea skit last night. She had a "ball" playing the role but wish I could say the same about Chris (from Canada) and Trent who were on both of her sides. ROTL - those that know know. ;)

Had a blast but I want to say something which I feel I can because it actually happened to me. So, in plain but calm tones I will say my peace.

I had a fantastic time on the ship - it was glorious, fun and ABSOLUTELY 95% enjoyable. HOWEVER, I would like to say that I was ABSOLUTELY APPALLED at the behavior of some of the "DCL GUESTS." Many went out of their way to distance themselves from many guests and in fact were downright rude to many. I PERSONNALLY experienced an episode that I hope no DISser would ever behave like to others.

My experience on DIS cruises has always been a fun and enjoyable experience. In fact, on our July cruise - I left with such a warm and happy feeling I thought - this is what friendship and the DIS is all about.

On this cruise? DEFINITELY NOT! It was so totally out of the norm that I am shocked and horrified that people behaved themselves in this manner. I hope that in the future, we all take a very good look at ourselves and remember this is a Disney cruise and we are all Disney fanatics at heart. Fun for one and fun for all. If you DON'T want to be nice - you don't have to be but please don't go out of your way to be nasty. The other 5% of the cruise was comments made by people intentionally and as for those 53 DIS people that signed up for fish extender gifts? Pam and I only received about 6 gifts. It wasn't a problem but it was defintely noticable as to who got them and who didn't. We being DIS board fanatics, did our merry best to spread the ::MickeyMo spirit and I think we did a fantastic job not to mention we were always (well ok - Pam was) polite and supernice to everyone. Me being Latina - I had only 2 episodes of  but they didn't last long. So the cruise was a 100% enjoyable experience minus a few bumps or two.

I hope that any future cruises we can all get along. It is a big boat and although it is showing its age - after all - next year will be 10 yrs old, it still holds the magical allure it held for me since the first 3 day cruise 9 years ago.

Thank you to all those that I met - I'm happy and glad that we did. I hope we get to meet on some future cruise. I always like to take something away from every person I meet and learn from each experience. On this one - I learned that I may be from the wrong side of the tracks but I'm sure glad my momma taught me to be nice and polite. As she says, you never know who your going to meet on your way up and their way down. Thank you all for a wonderful and eye-opening experience and I had a blast doing this cruise! Later all!   :dance3:

We got home this PM and had a great time. I did not spend a ton of time with any DISers in particular as I spent most of my time with my DH and DS, but met many of you throughout the weeks, I really enjoyed our conversations. I really enjoyed the tea - thank you Christine. This was one of the best vacations we have ever had and all the help I got on DIS beforehand and the friendly hello's throughout the trip really enhanced that.

Eeyorelvr10 - I apoligize as i am not sure if we meet or not, but i am sorry that you did not receive many fish extender gifts. I think we got about 20 in total and some were from multiple rooms together. did you switch rooms? I know i had a few rooms that i went to on my list that didn't have fish extenders (the room hostess was able to point me to the new room one time) Stupid me didn't take the list and put it in room order so I struggled a bit. Plus i got turned around on floor eight and don't know if i hit every wing! I ended up with 2 left over so i know i missed someone(s). If I am one that missed you i apologize as i know we got yours!!

I cannot even imagine what could have transpired and hope that maybe the incidents were due to language barriers and not outwardly rudness.

There were so many guests from foriegn countrys on this sailing.

What cabin were you in? We did not get all the gifts either and I assume it was becasue people ran out. We could not find one traveler and am assuming they either forgot the extender or moved and we got them that way and did not know it.
