Bringing food into the parks?

I. Last year we brought our lunches/snacks/drinks into the parks (no glass bottles). We loved it as we do not like the fast food options at the parks and we don't have time to go for a reservation only meal. My sil is telling me you are not allowed to do this anymore....please tell me this isn't true

Nothing has changed. You can bring in your own food to WDW, just not glass containers or alcohol. There are other companies' theme parks in Orlando that don't allow your own food, and maybe your SIL was confused.
