Can you bring any food into the parks like granola bars, pretzels, grapes, etc..?

I don't know if it's officially allowed, but I always do and even though the security guards see it, they never say "No".
You're not allowed to bring a cooler in, I know that much.
We've brought juice boxes, gummies, carrots, cheese sticks, sandwiches, grapes and never had a problem.

anybody else?

Now, I haven't been to Disney for almost 3 years. But the last time I was there I needed a diaper bag, and we filled it with little snacks and drinks for the kids. We would buy a case of water at the local grocery store and freeze the drinks, and pack some small snacks. When it came time the water was perfect (cold but not frozen) and we had snacks to keep everyone happy until mealtime. I'm not saying this is allowed, but no one will make you get rid of it either. At least in the past. I hope things didn't change too much because I plan on doing it again this year.

Whenever we go to Disney, our first stop upon arriving in Orlando is to the grocery store for "snack pack" supplies. We mix pretzels, goldfish crackers, honey-roasted peanuts, Fritos and Cheetos into a Ziploc bag for a yummy snack mix. We also get little boxes of raisins (to offset the unhealthiness of the snack mix) and a bag of cookies (like mini Oreos or animal crackers) for something sweet.

Don't get me wrong - we still love to get park snacks too. However, this definitely reduces the number of times we have to shell out $3 for a pretzel.

We always take in something to snack on. Makes the wait time go faster if you have a snack and not an empty stomach. We always take something sweet, something salty, something with peanut butter and something wet(water). The four basic food groups of the parks :thumbsup2 . I have even seen people bring in sandwiches. I don't bring sandwiches because I hate squished bread.

We've taken in a small, lunch box/6-pack sized cooler every time we've gone with no issue. Usually have 5 or 6 bottles of water in it. Additionally, we take the standard snack fare...bite size fruit snacks, cheese and crackers, etc. with no problems from the security guys. (They're looking for Weapons of Mouse Destruction, not somebody trying to save $4 on a bottle of water. ;) )

As long as you're not toting in a huge cooler and a picnic basket, they don't say much.

We always bring snacks since we are going with small kids. When it was adults only we never did but we all know kids get hungry when there is nothing around to eat. And with my picky eater I am not searching the park for something he will eat. They always look in our bags but never have a problem.

We have always brought in some small snacks for the kids and a soft sided cooler with water and pop in it. We have never had a problem. Just remember no glass bottles are allowed, we foung this out with baby food jars.

They're really only concerned about folks bringing in "meals". If you want to have a meal, and not buy it from them, they pretty-much want you to go back to your hotel or at least out to your rental car.

We've never had an issue w/our soft sided cooler either. I use Ziploc bags and ice from the hotel ice machines to make ice packs everyday for the cooler. The cooler fits in the basket of the stroller perfectly. I put drinks in the cooler and small snacks in our backpack.

We have never had a problem. It's those little things that can really add up too. :tink: :tink: :tink:

We have always brought snacks, drinks, and even sandwiches into the parks. We always eat on the run! :teeth: Lately, I have seen folks leaving soft sided rolling coolers parked in stroller areas while they're on rides. :confused3

Security only checks for weapons and safety issues. They aren't looking for food or anything like that.

That's correct: Disney relies on the integrity of their guests to comply with their policies on food and drink. That's not what the security guards are for; none of them are supposed to be enforcing operational policies like that.

Here's the official policy:
