We are heading to IOA on Saturday for my 9 yo dd's bday. We are locals and have WDW APs and always take our lunches w/ us due to food allergies. After reading the Universal website, I'm a bit concerned that they will not allow us to bring our "safe" foods. We have 3 people in our party w/ serious food allergies and I do NOT want to take a chance or bother trying to find safe foods at IOA.

Can anyone tell me if they will allow us to bring in our own food/water? Disney NEVER gives us a problem when we pack our coolers and such full of our food/water. TIA!

You can bring food/water into the parks in soft side coolers...no hard side coolers are allowed.

the website said no bags larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep - i have an insulated backpack that is of course bigger than that - do they abide by those regulations as well?

Hmm... I have seen people in the park with rolling luggage? Not to say they couldn't decide to enforce the rules that day but I can't imagine they wouldn't be understanding if you explained the situation.

I've actually never read the official rules and we go to IOA all the time with an oversized backpack with changes of clothes for the water rides. We've never had a problem.
