For those who think anyone over 3 should walk the parks at all times please don't no flames. We went to the zoo this weekend with my 3 kids. DS 4, DD just turned 3 and DD 13 months (doesn't walk yet). It was hot and humid (just like Disney will be in September). Brought a graco front too back double stroller that we plan to take on the trip, it is old but is still hanging in there. About 3 hours into the trip the 4 year old wanted to sit so out came the 3 year old to walk a little. Then she wanted to sit again so out came the 1 year old for mom to carry and so on. Now we tried getting them to walk, encouraging them etc. but they were getting more whiny, cranky and unpleasant wanting to be carried. We were taking breaks, weren't rushing around etc. but boy it made me nervous for Disney which will be about 20 times more walking even with breaks. So...I was entertaining the idea of trying to find a small umbrella stroller to take also (or have delivered to the parks) but what I would want would need to be able to hold at least the 3 year old and I would like to be able to fold it so it could be in the basket of the graco or hang off the handles of the graco when not be used. Hopefully with a small canopy over the top (both DD's are redheads). Thoughts? Is this crazy? Any recommendations? I don't want the trip ruined by whiny and crying my feet hurt, I am too tired to walk, carry me....We can't afford the rental fees and we will be there 8 days. I would love any ideas!

By all means bring the strollers! My youngest and oldest traded out of the single most of the trip... We folded up the single and put it on top of the double when no one was using it. It made the trip much more comfortable for everyone!
Enjoy the whine free strolling!

Great idea. I think you will want another small stroller.

I bought a small umbrella like stroller at Walmart up in Canada that I used for my niece last year (almost 4). It was great for last year but won't work this year she's too tall. It is made by Cosco and it has a canopy, basket and single handle. I paid $20 up here for it. It should fit under your double stroller.

We are going in December with my two girls who will be... 3 (almost 4) and 2 and we are debating bringing our two umbrella strollers or just our double, or the double and one umbrella stroller.... So many decisions to make! At almost 4, my DD will fit in the umbrella stroller, so I don't think you'll have a problem at all. And I say bring anything and everything you can to make your trip a more plesant one!!!

I'd bring the small umbrella stroller, better safe than sorry. also try a small bungee cord to hold the folded stroller to the double one.

I used a single stroller and had an umbrella one with its wheels in the basket and the handle bungeed to the handle of the single. you may have more room in the double. check it before you go.

When we were there back in 2004, I saw someone who had the full size stroller with the younger child in it, and then an umbrella tied with cable cords/bungee cords to the side of it. The umbrella stayed out of the way for everyone. I thought that was a great idea and I may be using that idea myself for our next trip.

Bring it you will need it. My DD turned 5 while we were at WDW last year. She rode our sit and stand a lot. It was also very easy to find her when she was sitting or standing on the stroller.

I saw the same thing when we were there in January.

Bring one if you need it! Another idea (maybe do both) is to find a really good, comfortable baby carrier, and you could carry the baby when you need to.
