Bringing alcohol onboard

Hello!


My extended family and I will hopefully be cruising in early December 2006. We were talking about the cruise this evening and my brother in law asked me if bringing any alcohol onboard was possible other than bottles of wine. I wouldn't think that beer would be possible, but are you allowed to bring a bottle of liquor in your luggage or carryon? Has anyone done this? Just wanted to know as I didn't see it in the info packet with the DVD. Thanks so much for your help!

This subject is always being discussed....check out this recent thread and it will give you lots of info...but basically...you can bring on any kind of liquor you want and DCL is one of only a few cruiselines that lets you bring your own booze onboard and CONSUME it onboard...most other cruise lines confiscate any purchased booze and return it to you cabin on the last night.

You know, I did a search but maybe I didn't do it right. Thanks so much! I think most of my family will be happier knowing they won't have to shell out so much $$ for drinky drinks and can imbibe on their own. If NCL allowed us to do that on our Alaskan cruise, maybe we wouldn't still be paying off the bill!!
