Bringing Alcohol onboard

We should be able to board with a 6- or 12-pack of beer, right? As long as beverages aren't packed in ice or in a cooler, we should be okay?

You can have it in a cooler if you want, it just has to fit through the X-Ray machine at the port... you are correct about the no ice!!

I saw people with cases of bottled water being carried on board... saw a few cases of beer, but not many.

I brought water, soda, and liq on board the 7 day eastern DCL, but that was 2 years ago before the check in restrictions.

Along these same lines...anyone ever fly with a bottle of wine? As long as it's corked and sealed still we should be fine with them in our carry-on, yes??

I am a flight attendant, and yes you can travel (on the airplane) w/ wine and liquor as long as it is unopened, in it's original sealed container. You cannot carry alcohol in a flask, for example. You can pack an empty flask though.

As long as it can go through the x-ray scanner you will be able to take the wine on your flight

I took sparkling wine in our carry ons several years ago (but since 09/11) and didn't have any problems. They did go through our bags but nothing was said.

Sorry guys You all posted at the same time I was thanking staylor - didn't mean to discount anybody's answers - I was making reference to the "flight attendent" status - not the DISboard status That's what I meant by someone who would certainly know for sure
