* Note, we live in a lake community that was originally built as a summer neighborhood. Houses are within feet of each other and no one has a driveway, only parking spots in a row that face the houses. This will be important later*
This morning, I needed to quickly let my dog out before leaving for work. She was wandering around the front yard as I went and started my car. Realizing I did not have my sunglasses, I left my driver's side door open, and went back inside my house. I grabbed the sunglasses and then called my dog back into the house. As I was a bit late, I jumped into my car, put it in drive and pulled out of my spot. I left our development area and pulled out onto the main road. I drove for about thirty seconds on the main road before casually glancing in my rearview mirror.
Sitting delicately on top of the backseat is one of my neighbor's eighteen cats.
Now, as I was already running late, I did debate for an 1/8 of a second about whether I should perhaps just take the cat to work with me. This second passed, and I dropped the hitchhiker off at his destination.
The kitty cost me a good 10 more minutes, as when I got back on the road, I was stuck behind a Honda Pilot with the license plate "FANILOW1" who was going 15 miles below the speed limit....for about 25 minutes...
Now I guess I should get off the DIS and start the work I was in such a rush to get to
