Here right now and have been getting bitten more then expected. I wish I had ignored the tips that it wasn't necessary even during this time of the year!

The little gnat things are bad at night as well....

To quote the software engineers, "Those aren't bugs -- those are features." Consider it part of the authentic WDW Florida theme park experience.

Never saw anything more than a little lizard and a small snake. :). Thankfully we didnt get one bug bite lat week.

Are you getting bit in the parks? I am the type of person who can usually walk outside and if there is a bug within a mile it will find its way to me and bite me. However, I have never gotten a single bug bite at Disney. I would think the only exception to this might be if you were camping at fort wilderness?

We are here now and no bugs. Last night during illuminations there was a duck that was hiding in the flowers and jumped out at us. But I don't think they make a spray for that! :rotfl2:

That funny because last week I made the comment about there being no bugs anywhere in the parks. This was our first summer trip and I was expecting lots.

Sorry for your apparent bad luck. Your experience is most definitely not the norm.

We are here now and so far have not been bitten once. Been out every night too.

We camp in Ft. Wilderness, haven't been back long, and have never been bitten by a bug - don't even see them, with the exception of "love bugs" which don't bite and are gone :confused3 Never have seen gnats there either.

This is our first summer trip and I actually did pack a travel size can of “OFF”, but really hope not to need it as my children hate being sprayed with anything.

As my mother would say, "You must have sweet meat!" :lmao:

Exact, coming from MN we could not believe it. Assumed heat and humidity would be a the perfect recipe, but have never been bit in 20 plus trips different times of the year.

No bugs usually since the grounds are heavily doused with pesticides. You'd probably be better off dealing with the bugs than dealing with the chemicals, but oh well.

I would agree under certain circumstances, but so many people are inconsiderate when spraying their own "chemicals" around other people that I really do get ticked off (pardon the pun ;)) That includes spraying sunscreen all over everyone else around them. There are some that I am allergic to and it terrifies me when people wait until they are in lines or in a group to douse all their family members - no consideration at all.

If no one else was getting bitten, I would be paranoid it was bed bugs. Worth checking out your room too.

We usually pack a couple of the deep woods off wipes, they come in individual packets and you just wipe yourself down with them. No spray or horrible scent either. If we notice we are being bitten we use them.
I have noticed that if we are close to certain types of shrubs the little no seeum's come out, mostly back by Space Mountain for some reason..

I usually find the wipes at Target on sale toward the end of summer and stock up, my son loves to fish so he keeps them in his tackle box too.

I will look for the wipes. I wasn’t going to use the spray around anyone else, but if I had wipes, I would not have to worry about whether the spray would last after being applied in the room.
