I miss the planning DVDs so much but I am very lucky I have some in the US who sends me a copy (I know I could watch it on YouTube but it's not the same). With all the new My magic +, fast pass + I think the UK needs the planning DVD back.

I work in a hairdressers and have a few customers who are going to WDW this summer. None if them had heard of FP+ and one wouldn't believe me that BOG is fully booked 6 months in advanced.

I feel sorry for these people that go so unprepared having spent so much money going. They also haven't really searched around for a good price and I could have fainted when a few of them told me how much they spent.

I agree! I miss the planning DVDs. I would have thought that given how much UK to WDW holidays cost, the planning DVDs would be available as it's a fraction of the cost of the trip!

yes totally agree:thumbsup2

I also know somebody that is going this August (only just booked) and had no idea about any of the planning needed for certain restaurants or the fact they could/should book fastpass. I've been like a travel agent to her since!!:)

It should be a matter of course that they GIVE you a DVD no matter who you book with as it contains valuable information.

If you book direct with WDW be a flight inclusive, hotel or even just tickets I think they should send out a DVD and planning pack. I would love to get something in the post. Even if they did it at the 209 day mark or something.

I totally agree - i've still got an old DVD which is about 10yrs old! We still watch it but it's so out of date now. We love watching Stacey on the "must do Disney" via youtube, it's a always a bit grainy as someone has usually filmed it from the TV. The latest one shows fp+....but like you say, it's only the likes of us uber-planners that will search high and low for the latest info. :goodvibes

OMG! just seen my ticker.....it gives me butterflies each time I see it!!! :)

Couldn't agree more, it'd be really good to watch with our son. He's autistic so can become very anxious when confronted with new things and having a video like this would be very handy when it comes to preparing him for the holiday. Might have a look to see if I can find a youtube version.

Oh no guess what I'm going to spend the next hour doing now I've seen these links. Oh well the ironing can wait

We have Apple TV and I stream YouTube to our tv.

I wish they sent out DVDs too... and a planning pack would be a great idea. I'm so glad I stumbled across the DIS! I don't know what I'd have sorted by now otherwise...

DIS boards and the Unofficial Guide have been my little saviours... :D I can't believe I'm now only 45 days away from my first ever visit! Squeee!

The one I posted is the full 2014 DVD includes WDW, DL, Cruise, Vero beach and Aulani.

for some reason, that one is very fuzzy for me - maybe it's on my computer, i don't know.

The two i posted are less fuzzy for me...
plus, it's a bit easier to find the sections in smaller youtube clips.

by the way, i remember last year i was able to watch the DVD online at the disney site.
i don't remember how it came about - but the entire DVD was online and interactive.
I don't recall how i got there. I remember having to register for something, and then the interactive DVD came up.
i wonder if i can find it again.

Once it gets started it's fine the beginning isn't great but it's only the vero beach bit.

thanks! i only watched the vero beach/hilton head part and then i noticed the other links so tried those.

by the way, hilton head looks really nice!!

What did you put for your address? It won't let me enter a UK one.

Yes it does - I used All Star Movie address :)

A bit more up to date than my first Unijet Video with Mike Smith :rotfl:

We too miss the planning DVD and wish they would send it to the uk . We've actually got some old ' videos' that one of these days we are going to convert to DVD as we love watching them - one of trek has mike smith on!
