Could not find this in the ticket post, sorry.

Military regular MYWT we want a 10 day ticket, the base says they only can get 8 days. So we are heading over to get them.

Is a regular 8 day with hopping, bought at a base, be upgraded, do we lose the discount or is it bridged?

It should be like any other ticket and be bridged upon first-use. I would expect extra days to cost $10 plux tax per person per day. If it costs more, I would politely challenge the number.

(Backup from ticket experts appreciated.)

Interesting- I guess it depends on the ticket

My son was not able to upgrade his military ticket. he had the 4 day ticket and wanted to upgrade it to a 6 day

He was told by the CM that military tickets are not upgradable because of the deep discount.

Were they Salute tickets or just standard MYWs as suggested by the OP? (Standard MYWs are not discounted at military bases that much in my opinion--the bigger savings is often the lack of sales tax.) I think that makes a big difference....

I have nop idea-- i know the 4 day pass cost was under 150.

I was told last year, that the Military Salute tickets were not eligible for an upgrade. The "regular" tickets that are purchased at the base should be ok for upgrades

Mind boggling? Every time I think I know something I get told something different?

Okay, dd is graduating YEAH (big deal she has Cerebral Palsy, and been in school since the day she was born, a BA is a huge deal for her) so we are trying to get her a WDW trip. Dad can't come, we r divorced so I'm not spouse and she turned 24 last summer so no longer a dependent even thru she is still in school.

I thought he could still buy the MYW tickets and not come with us. But the base is saying a military has to be with you. I know that is true for the Stars and Stripes, but has it changed for the MYW tickets because I know in the past he has bought us the regular MYW tickets on base and we use them, I know he has to be with us if we use S&S.

Any one know the answer? Again a regular MYW ticket bought on base, for a family member, do you need military id to use the ticket?

I do not know, am only trying to assist with what I do know. I do know that I have bought ticket vouchers for others and AP vouchers for myself at a military MWR/ITT location and did NOT need to show ID again at WDW. (The tickets I've bought were all FL Resident however--hence the vouchers--and FL ID was required to redeem the vouchers for tickets at WDW.)

All that said, in this case, I would be stunned if you needed to show military ID to use the ticket. (Salute or S&S yes, but regular MYW no.)

Hope that helps, until maybe poster CF comes along.
