All in all, wonderful trip. (our three family trips have been "great, better, best") Got to see/experience a lot of things we'd missed (or kids were too young for) on previous trips. Would have liked a few more days to experience more of Epcot (instead of just walking around it), and see more shows at MGM at AK, but had seen most before anyway. Wasn't much fun to pack up and move mid-stay, but managed to do it pretty quickly (we brought two large suitcases...one for ASMo, one for Swan, in addition to a couple of little ones for things we'd need in both locations), and was worth it to be at Swan for two nights (mainly for the convenience). Bummer of the whole trip was freezing cold Grotto pool at Swan/Dolphin. Highlights were:
- Fantasmic, TON, Illuminations, MSEP
- Fastpass! Loved walking by the poor people who can't read or reason.
- PSes - first time we'd used more than a couple - saved loads of time and turmoil
- pools and waterparks (always a favourite with Canadians who leave mounds of snow behind)
- Pirate Cruise (kids who went on it and parents who didn't all loved it) - would not have known about this without the DIS
Also, for anyone planning a half-beach/half-WDW trip, it's really great to have the relaxing beach/family visit portion AFTER the busy WDW part...It was soo nice to relax by a pool for several days to recover, and nicer still not to feel as if we needed a vacation after our vacation!
That's it in a nutshell,
Bridget
