BRIDGE at Caribbean Beach

is there anyone at CBR right now who can accurately describe what effect the bridge closure between OPR and Jamaica/Aruba has on the guest experience? Seeing conflicting information on the resort boards, some saying a footpath still exists, some saying they have pontoon boats taking guests between, some saying it's the most terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad experience they've had....we are headed there in 3 weeks and requested Jamaica, so I am just looking for an accurate 'from the trenches' report. We don't mind walking, but we would like to explore Caribbean Cay and also prefer not to see loads of work equipment all around.
