Bridesmaids' gifts

Hi everyone! I know there have been several threads about this, but I am really stressing about what to get my bridesmaids.

Since we're having a sort-of beachy theme, I was going to get them personalized beach bags filled w/ a towel, flip-flops, sunscreen, books from each of their favorite authors, magazines, a sunglasses case, lotion, and their favorite candy.

However, I feel like that's a little impersonal. My MOH is my cousin and the rest of my BMs have been my best friends since we were 12, so I feel like I should do something more meaningful. I am hesitant about jewelry b/c 2 of them lose everything and one doesn't wear jewelry. Besides, they all have such different tastes. Does anyone have any suggestions? I cannot go too crazy b/c I am already paying for their room at the BC for 3 nights.

I was thinking of giving them another gift after the wedding... a nice picture frame w/ a picture of us from the wedding.

What do you all think? I really need help here! Thanks so much

I think your beach bag idea is great! Maybe include alittle something that reminds you of each friend or a favorite memory. I got silver frames at Things Remembered engraved for each of mine. To put a wedding photo in.

Don't stress your ideas are great! And i'm sure they will love them.

I am probably going to do gift baskets from Basin with a photo in it. Since both my MOH love bath stuff.

I think that sounds very generous, especially paying for thier rooms! It's personal since you are getting them books and magazines that you know they will like - I wouldn't have any idea who my friend's favorite authors are! You could add a CD or DVD of their favorite music or a movie they love.

My niece was my MOH (our only attendant) and I bought her dress, shoes, and earrings, paid for her hair and she stayed with me the night before the wedding so of course I paid for the room (she stayed with her mother the night of the wedding). After the wedding I put a picture of her and me in a silver frame and engraved it "my niece - my maid of honor - my friend" with the wedding date and she really liked that.
