Bridesmaid Dress Opinions Please!

I like #1 the best. I agree with the others that the fabric of dress #2 might wrinkle easily and the shine of it might emphasize rolls. Having a few rolls myself, I tend to be concerned about that. :teeth: I think dress #1 will photograph well. With some alterations I think the dresses will look very nice.

Just a suggestion if you go with #1- if they have detatchable spaghetti straps the girls can go strapless for the ceremony and put the straps on so they will be more comfortable during the reception. Both look great!

I vote the first one! :cheer2:

I looooove the colour!

My vote goes for dress #1

I say #1 with straps. If you don't go with straps, then I'd say dress 2.

Which ones do your Bridesmaids like the best and feel best in?

2 bridesmaids think #2 is more comfortable, but one of them also says she thinks she looks better in #1. And the other bridesmaid says they are both comfortable for her.

I guess my only problem with #2 is the shine, and almost everyone agrees that it is a valid "problem"

oh my...I'm horrible at making decisions! :duck:

#1 is classy. The second one makes them look way too busty and also makes them look thicker in the waist. The first one will be more flattering, especially once they are altered. As the others said, straps would probably make them feel much more comfortable. I had a similar style to #1 (longer) and my SIL is a little on the heavy side and that style really streamlined her and she looked beautiful!

Oh I really like #1! It does have a classic look. The BM's look great in the dress.

#2 doesn't do your BM's justice. It makes them look frumpy IMO. I agree with the shine issue. Even the cut of the dress doesn't look very special to me. I know it would be altered, but it doesn't have any oomph to it.

I'd go with #1! :) :goodvibes

I have to go against most of the crowd on this one (style wise). I do like most of the others LOVE the color  As a large busted girl myself, I would love the option of being able to wear a halter style bra to hold the girls up rather than a basic strapless that does nothing for me. I also think dress #2 gives the girls a nice long line (making them appear taller). Dress #1 cuts them above bust and below the knee. #2 gives them a fluid line from neck to calves.

I also agree with a previous poster that this is your wedding. It's nice to gather thoughts and opinions, but you are the captain of the decisions.

Whichever dress you choose, your wedding will be beautiful. They are both nice dresses. Enjoy yourself, relax, take several deep breaths and above all have fun planning this wedding.

Sending lots of pixie dust your way :wizard:

I like one better now that you said it has straps. I think the straps will make them much better and more sun dress to match the beach theme :)

Actually It's not a beach theme at all, It's an early October indoor wedding with a Celtic/Irish theme.

I was concerned that #1 did look too sundress like. Everyone still think either is ok for my theme and time of year? lol

Every time I think I'm ready to decide......well...you know...I change my mind!

Choosing between the two, I'd have to say dress #1, but definetely with some sort of straps.

#2 is too shiny

It's your Wedding! :Pinkbounc
I would keep looking until I found something I loved. If you LOVE both dresses, pick the one you like best.
Congrats! and happy planning :goodvibes

I like number one with the spaghetti straps. Just like everyone else, it's just my opinion ;)

Did you get the first set from J Crew? If so then we might have the same bridesmaids dresses. :)

:) yep, the first dress is JCrew and the second is Esprit. What color did you choose?
