I need David's bridal style F14336 in color gem in size 22 or 24.

Check David's bridal and eBay with no luck.

Ordered a size 20 and need a bit bigger, wedding is late August.

Any ideas?

Yes trying to lose a few pounds is also on the table but would like a back up plan.

Lost 40 pounds, got pregnent, Had a baby in July got sized in December, picked up dress in March and it zipped but barely, had hope of losing a few pounds but it didn't happen

Normally I would have ordered a size bigger bit this is strapless and I'm worried about falling out if to loose up top, and really had hopes of losing weight

So right before the wedding, get one of the body wraps. They last for about a week and they basically compact all of the fat so you lose about an inch off your "umm problem areas." If I don't lose enough weight for my upcoming Oct trip to Universal I am going to do one of those so I can fit on all the rides with ease. Hopefully I can just lose the weight, but you know how that goes.

Good Luck!!

Get to a tailor asap and see if there is enough fabric to let it out a bit.
Adding this to my list of options

Would never have thought of that, may try it either way to get a flatter look

Can you order extra fabric from David's? Have you tried it on with spanx or something like that?

In the meantime, I'd cut carbs and up the cardio. Maybe look into Beach Body's 21 day challenge.

this...or if the zipper can be replaced with a lace up style to allow a little more give? Not going to be inexpensive though

Go to a tailor asap and see what is possible, go on an extreme no carb diet, and buy some spanx. Those three should get you from a 22 to a 20.

If there isn't enough room to let the dress out, see if any of the other bridesmaids need their dresses altered and if they might have some extra fabric cut from their dress that your seamstress can use.

Find an Isagenix rep and get started on it. My wife as well as many testimonials from personal friends is weight loss (among other benefits). Read of most dropping upwards of 10+ pounds and several inches in the first week.

Try Facebook, especially Buy/Sell/Trade Boards. You have to be a member to belong, but they usually let you in within 24 hours. Tax Guy, you really are not suppose to post links for businesses, I know you are just trying to help.

Didn't know it wasn't allowed. Edited to remove the direct link.

I also recommend finding a tailor. I got pregnant right after ordering my last bridesmaid dress and I was 26 weeks pregnant at the wedding. Luckily this amazing tailor was able to let out the dress enough for me. Miracle worker! Wasn't cheap, but I didn't have any other options.

I used to work at David's Bridal and generally, there is enough fabric to let it out a bit. If that's not enough, will it need to be hemmed? If so, a good tailor can take some of the hem and sew in a panel next to the zipper to make it larger. I had this done on a bridesmaids' dress and you couldn't tell, it just looked like a seam. Good luck!

Yes, I had this done. I ordered a dress in my usual size but it was too snug (lesson learned, got measured after that). A tailor added fabric next to the zipper and you really couldn't tell unless looking for it.

Does the dress have a sash that could be put into the seams? I didn't have time to order my dress, so I bought one off the rack, they used the sash that I didn't want on the dress. Also, I would bet they could find material that matches pretty close. It will be along the seam that goes under your arms, so it shouldn't be too noticeable.

If it isn't too tight, cutting the carbs is a quick way to drop pounds, but with only a few weeks to go,you would need to make sure not to cheat.
Good luck and have a great wedding!

I had this happen with a dress a couple of years ago, fit perfect everywhere except for around the bust and I could not zip it. I had a friend who is a very good seamstress add just a little bit of extra material on either side of the zipper on the back. You would have never known. A good tailor should be able to do something similar.

If its zippering but just snug, then there should be enough fabric to take it out so its comfortable. Also, from experience, David's alterations team (while good) can be very expensive and take a while. Don't feel like you need to have it done there. Good luck!

Yes to this! DB wanted $110 to hem a dress we paid $150 for and had over a 4 week lead time. A local tailor did it for $50 in 4 days.
