My husband and I just got back from our anniversary vacation at CBR. A year earlier, we also celebrated our honeymoon at CBR resorts. If you are celebrating either event, be sure to we your "Just Married" & "Happy Anniversary" pins and/or bride/groom ears. We got so many "extras" at dinners, as well as at our resort and in the stores. The staff at Disney went above and beyond to make both experiences wonderful.

I went with my H a few mos back and we wore our anniversary pins and we got a free champagne toast at our resort (CBR), a special dinner @ Citricos with personalized menus & desserts, and a cast member just walked up and handed us fast passes to star wars when there was a 70 minute wait!

What's really Sad is they don't do this for gay couples :( I have been three times to Disney and worse Ann pins and they did nothing :( I really hope when we go for ou honeymoon they will treat us the same way if not then they will be getting a HUGE letter from me :(

Sorry but I don't think it has anything to do with sexual orientation. It really has everything to do with the CMs and what they are willing to do. They are not "required" to do stuff for people wearing pins, even just saying "congratulations". There have been a lot of reports on here of straight couples who wore pins and got no special attention on their honeymoons.

yeah... i tend to agree. it's really just luck and pixie dust!

it was DF's birthday (on the day) at the california grill and he didn't get anything, but the table next to us did for their birthday. when i took my stepmom there earlier in the year... i told them it was her first time there... and they brought her out a celebration piece of cake! .... but none for DF's bday--it's all luck.

later on in the trip, our waitress at the wave heard us talking about our wedding and brought us out champagne for being engaged, lol. we had been engaged 6 months at that point!

i do have to say that when we've had our celebrations on our reservations at yachtsman and citricos that they have always made us personalized menus.

we do add our celebrations into our dining reservations, and i that's what definately sparks the interest while dining.

through the parks, we got a lot of congratulations while wearing our just engaged buttons. when the bus driver saw his happy birthday button, he had the bus sing to him.... very random things like that.

i'm going to get my headband when we go down in november... but it's going to take a little coaxing for him to sport the ears.

Yeah, I don't think it is anything against gay couples either. We took my son for his fourth birthday and they did nothing, I thought maybe he was too short for them to see the pin but then we went for my birthday again and nothing. I think it really depends on the CM. It also helps if you tell them what you're celebrating when you book and then add the celebration to your dining reservation too. With so many people "celebrating" something I think the magic gets lost sometimes.

Personally I think Disney was giving out the buttons to freely, it seems everyone has one on. DH and I only wore our "Just Married" buttons the night after our wedding and the day after, we wore the "Happly Ever After" buttons the next day, and he wore his "Birthday" button only on his actual birthday. We got tons of Congratulations from cast members and guests on the days we wore them, and we recieved no "free stuff" and didn't feel cheated. After that I felt kind of weird wearing them, I felt like people only were wearing them to get free stuff and I didn't want to be like that. I didn't feel right wearing any buttons before our wedding day, and then three days after I felt it was to long after I wasn't "Just Married" any longer in my mind. I guess it is all just a matter of opinion, but I don't feel I should get extra special treatment because I was on my honeymoon. :goodvibes

Definitely wear them! And it does all depend on luck.

DH and I wore ours the whole trip. We got extra desserts when we took his mom to Garden Grill for dinner, a free cupcake at Starring Rolls in Studios, a free cookie at Starring Rolls on a different day, six fast passes and TONS of congratulations! We didn't expect any free stuff; it was just a nice bonus! You will get congratulations from an absurd amount of CM, so just be prepared.

I wouldn't expect to get lots of freebies, but even some congratulations would be great! Where do you get the pins? Do they give them to you when you get married there?

The thing that stands out most in my mind about wearing the buttons was having a CM at the Gran Tour Fiesta ride in Mexico hold up her hand so we didn't keep walking to get onto the ride (no waiting at all, just a couple or two ahead of us) and say "You must have your own boat...will be very romantic." That was the nicest "perk" of all, and we even got some FPs and freebies here and there. That romantic little boat ride with my shiny new husband was one of the highlights for me. :)

Definitely wearing our pins and hats.

We celebrated our Engagement down there last oct. It was a no brainer where we wanted to spend our honeymoon.... so much attention and extras!
