Bride/Groom Ears

Did you wear your ears prior to wedding (we are there 4 days prior) or wait til after you were married? I will be getting the bridal ears there, DF made his by attaching ears to a Groom baseball hat we bought from Davids Bridal.

I'm going to wear them on the plane there!! I'm going to get them in feb when I go for my planning and also get the pin thaey give to you so that the morning of my flight we have them all ready!!

We were "traditional" and waited until we were married to wear the ears. I made my ears and we bought DH's tophat ears the evening we arrived. Our wedding was the next morning at 10am...so we didn't have to wait long!

I have read of newly engaged couples wearing them, couples celebrating anniversaries, etc. I don't think it's a big deal to wear them a few days before your wedding!! Enjoy!!!

We waited until we were officially married to wear the ears and the pins. It felt more "real" that way, like we were finally married and wanted people to know it!

I plan to wear them - we will already be married when we get down there. The top hat is really small on my groom...

Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one! We cant buy them here in the uk so I'm sure we will get loads os stares walking round the airport in them!! HAve to convince DF first!!

Here is my theory - when we went to Disneyland in May, I wanted to buy & wear the veil then because I was still a bride-to-be. So I'm on board with wearing them for engagement, wedding, honeymoon - and maybe anniversary. But since there are so many times (possibly) to wear them - as a wedding/honeymoon how will people know WHY you are wearing it??

People wear crazy hats at disney all the time, if you want to wear them, wear them when you feel comfortable!

Oh NO! It is absolutely not wrong!!!!

And I really hope my post didn't make you (or any of the other brides) feel that way...I just was being a traditionalist. Technically we were married the Friday before our Disney wedding, so I could have worn them. I guess for me it made my Disney ceremony feel more real (especially since the legal one was already done)...does that make sense?

We waited until after the wedding to wear the ears. DH wouldn't even let me wear my ears to the rehearsal dinner!

I will be wearing a Bride to be button....DF a G2B one....after the wedding we will be wearing Just married buttons! So I guess everyone will know why we are wearing them!

I'll be wearing mine at the airport too! I had someone bring them back for me for this exact reason. Don't dhink Nigel will be wearing his hat tho' as like soooo many others have said - it's too small!

I might get a baseball cap for mine with groom on it and maybe sew the ears on, he is much more likely to wear that. I cant wait to get mine and wear them, I dont know anyone going to pick me some up!

DF bought us groom/bride ears when he proposed last month, after he popped the question, we wore the ears around MK extra magic hours that night and got to tell our story to lots of people who asked.

We checked in 2 days prior to our wedding. So the night we got there, we went to DTD and bought the ears (and my DH had a big head, so his didn't fit, but he still wore them!! ) and we wore them from that time on. So I had them on before the wedding, but I was on my wedding/honeymoon trip so it seemed OK to me! We wore them when we got on the Disney Magic for our DCL honeymoon but didn't really wear them except the day we got on and the day we left. And then for our at home reception I wore mine, but DH didn't wear his.
