Bridal Shower Favors

what about hot chocolate cones? You take the plastic icing bags and you put one inside of the other. fill the inside one with hot chocolate powder ( I think we used a little over a 1/2 cup) use a twist tie to close the bag and snip off the extra. then add mini marshmallows on top. close the 2nd bag with a twist tie and snip it so it is neat. add ribbon. you can even add crushed peppermint to the coco if you want

That's ADORABLE!

There are tea cookies shaped like bridal accessories - shoes, veil, bouquet, or even a generic bridal dress. These are very popular at the showers that I've attended. The cookies range between $5 -$10 a piece but you won't find a favor cheaper than that anyway.
Sorry Disney Doll, I didn't see the price limit. However, I bet you could buy the plain sugar cookies that come in a roll in the refrigerator section of the grocery store. You could roll out the dough and shape the cookies yourself with a couple of bridal themed cookie cutters, then just ice them with white almond flavored icing.

we made them for my dd preschool class last year. I printed labels to stick on them and added pretty ribbon.. the picture above it just one I found online. ours were dressed up alot.. everyone loved them . I bought the hot choco and marshmallows at BJs and the bags at michaels

One of the best shower favors was a packet of coffee with an adorable coffee scooper...And it said "Katie and Cory...the perfect blend"

Great ideas!!!!! Love the ice cream cone one! Where do you get those cone-shaped bags???????

So... I guess the days of M&M's wrapped in tulle with a ribbon are done? :\

:lmao: Never fear! The favors at each place setting for my daughter's wedding this summer are individual little silver bags, filled with purple and white M&M's wrapped in purple tulle and tied with a silver and purple ribbon! She's ordering some of the candy personalized but it's darn expensive so the personalized ones will be mixed in with the plain purple ones.

I guess it's the Jordan almonds wrapped in tulle that have fallen out of favor? ;)

Never! Like I said earlier, we had a version at my shower...little satchels (Target clearance) or color coordinated Jelly Bellys. I think the hot cocoa cones and cookie cutters are cute, but I'd still never eat/use them. We also left the few leftover favors at the restaurant where the shower was held for the servers and staff. Who doesn't like free candy? I think M&Ms and Jelly Beans trump Jordan Almonds...not so good, IMHO. I do love me some pastel buttermints, though.

I hosted a bridal shower about a month ago...

Instead of doing traditional favors, I created cards that informed the guests that in lieu of a favor, a donation had been made to the bride's favorite organization. I then bought flowers from the grocery store and tied a card to each flower. As each guest left, I presented them with a flower.

The donation I made wasn't huge... $25, and I didn't spend a ton on flowers... 24 guests, $16 for roses.

Everyone really seemed to like the donation favor!

You can get them at Michaels, they are just icing bags..you can just use one per favor if you want but I use 2 because I dont like the power getting all over the marshmallows!

If I remember correctly they are in a pink box about the zip of a small ziplock box...
