Hello All,

I need a little help if you would be so kind. I am invited to a bridal shower on Sunday, and we need to bring a dish, and complete the recipe card. Well, as usual, I have left it til the last, and need some ideas. I need something easy as we will be at a wedding the night before, and I expect I will be tired, and not feel like doing much.

So...I was at a party over the weekend, and the hostess made a delicious chicken and rice cass. However, they left for vacation yesterday, so I can't call her for the recipe.

I will take any and all suggestions!

Thanks

Does it have to be a main course recipe?

How about something you can do ahead of time, like banana bread, pumpkin bread, etc., or some kind of yummy cookie?

Probably not what you are looking for but I would give a recipe card with my favorite take out resturants, phone numbers and menus!! But then again I would rather eat out than actually cook something!!

LoL Grover.

The invite was pretty vague about what type of dish. I called one of the girls who is running it, but am waiting to hear back from her. If I can bring an appetizer, I will be making sweet and sour meatballs (they can sit in the crock pot all morning).

Oooh, maybe some breads and different spreads. Another good one. Keep them coming!

How about Chex Mix? Sounds silly, but I often get asked for these recipes. (I have about 6.) You could make it tomorrow in the microwave & be all set.

Or how about a Disney recipe - like Strawberry Soup? If you have the fonts Walt Disney Script, Minnie & Disney Print loaded, I could email you a sheet of 4 recipe cards with it on - then you don't even have to write it out. I print them on card stock. It even has the GF logo on the "card."

this seems to be a southern tradition for showers
