What did you ladies do with your Bouquet after your reception?

Did you keep them through your honeymoon?

Anyone do Keepsake Floral? Worth the money?

Thanks!

I did keepsake floral. When I first got my bouquet back I was a little disappointed that I had spent so much money it but now I love looking at it hanging in our bedroom and I can't imagine not having it. I had a pretty good experience with them except for the fact that it took like 4 months to complete.

OMGOSH SO BEAUTIFUL! You are making me want to do them!!! How did you get the bouquet to them? Did you send it from Disney right after the wedding?

BTW...thanks for responding to so many of my questions, it is so helpful!

AND.......CONGRATS ON YOUR SOON-TO-BE Bundle of Joy

Thank you!

For the flowers my florist (I used Flourish Productions) picked them up at the end of my reception and kept them in his cooler for about 2 days and replaced any flowers that needed replacing and then he delivered it to keepsake. Keepsake charges a pick up fee of about $60 I think and they will come get it after the reception, you can ask your planner for details on where to leave the bouquet etc.

Glad I could help!

Disney gave me a brochure on the day of the wedding for a company that does preservation...I don't remember the name. I was feeling sentimental that day and almost did it but decided not to. I didn't want to spend another $300+. I figured that I would always have nice pictures of the bouquet. I ended up throwing mine away.

yea...it is expensive. Lol...wierd question...how did you throw it away? After the wedding I'll be in Disney for 7 more days. I kind of want to put them in water for the honeymoon and then toss them before I go to the airport.

I had my daughter's bouquet preserved by Keepsake floral. We let her planner know that we wanted to do this so after all the formal pictures were taken and after the ceremony at the reception our planner took her bouquet and placed it in a cooler until keepsake picked it up on that Monday. They did a wonderful job and yes it is expensive but it is so worth it and I am glad that I did it for her. Just be sure and give it to your planner and not to anyone else in case in gets in the wrong hands and is misplaced.

I just threw it in the garbage can in the room.

I also had my bouquet preserved by keepsake floral. I was very happy with the results.

Bouquet on wedding day.

I didn't have the Keepsake option..I took it home and after a week, took it apart and saved all the ribbon wrap.

I went to Michael's and got all the silks and remade it..It is in a vase on my mantle

My MK shoot was 2 days after my wedding day. I wanted the same bouquet for my MK pictures as I had for my wedding day. After my reception, Disney Floral took my bouquet back and refrigerated it. They refreshed (replaced any dead or wilting flowers) the bouquet the day of the MK shoot. Refreshing the bouquet is cheaper than having a completely new bouquet recreated. After my MK shoot, Disney Floral took my bouquet again and kept it in their refrigerator until Keepsake Floral came to pick it up for the preservation.

If you don’t want to spend money on a refresh, some brides made their own silk bouquets at home and brought it with them for the MK shoot. Also, if you try to schedule your MK shoot the day after or 2 days at the most after your wedding, your flowers might be able to last in some water without getting a refresh.

However, if you are planning to have Keepsake Floral preserve your bouquet, I would suggest a refresh just so that your flowers will be in the freshest condition when getting preserved. HTH!

I'm having my bouquet made of silk and my DFi boutonniere so I can make my own shadow box at home. Then it's also still "fresh" for our park shoots.

I'm a crafty person and have a vision and sketches for my plan already (and my wedding is still a year away)

I have seen Keepsake Floral do some great work. They had a bad month a while back, but that seems to be taken care of. If I had to have a fresh or if I wasn't crafty I'd add that into my budget.

We're also doing silk flowers. I just couldn't imagine spending an extra 900 on top of what the bouquet already cost to preserve it. And with my allergies, it's better to do silk anyways.

I would make my own, but I have no time and no access to a place to buy nice silk flowers i.e. Michael's or AC Moore. I think my bouquet came out to 325 or something for Disney to make it, and they're putting all sorts of personalized things in it, i.e. charms, Pearl Mickey's, a hidden Gardenia etc... :thumbsup2 And I get to keep it!

I don't know what the starting price is for keepsake but I spent almost $900.00 on mine which is a lot more than $300 of course. Just an FYI for anyone considering it.

We did all silk for our wedding and fourteen years later, it still looks brand new in our wedding curio cabinet. Something to be said for silk flowers- we got a small corner curio unit and put all the things from our wedding into it- top shelf- toasting glasses and our cake top; middle shelf, our unity candle and our wedding programs (with our customized vows) and favors as well as the cards we gave each other on our wedding day; third shelf, couples figurines gven to us as gifts plus our cake cutting set of knife and server. Fourth shelf, our "theme" stuff- we did lion king so we have three different lion king sculptures. Bottom shelf, my silk bouquet and his lapel flower. I love our cabinet- I see it and it reminds me every day of our very special day beginning life together.

I LOVE THIS IDEA! I had a vision like this in my head. Where did you get your cabinet? Was it expensive? I have so many things I'd like to put in something like that.
