Any Brian Wilson fans who went to see him while he was in London last week? Big article in the Chicago Tribune about the show. Love to hear about it from anyone who went.

Guess not. They would have surfaced by now. Anyhow, it sounded like a great show, with him doing the long lost, and never issued, "Smile" album live. Like he's done with Pet Sounds. I did get to see him in Chicago a few years ago when he did that on stage. Oh well, probably dating myself.

Was he the chap who performed at Buck House for the Jubilee Concert?

OMG never heard of Brian Wilson..!!
Brian Wilson WAS The Beach Boys..
Haven't kept up with his latest stuff but have heard good reports about it.

Mick.

:smooth:

Mick, got it in one. He's been peforming again for about 5 years. Rather weird, I guess years of drugs will do that to you, but we've actually seen him twice in the last few years. Once with Paul Simon, and once by himself with his own band. Much better that way. Had I known about the show there, I would have flown back to see it.

Was he the funny old guy that played at the Queens Jubilee concert that looked like he was dead?

Tim - I refer you to the post I made earlier :teeth: !!! Sorry Joe as you must be a fan, but I think that performance was so peculiar it would have put people off. I hope he is more animated now than he was then!

Sorry, I wasn't invited. Can't say. Is a bit 'stiff' in concert, actually even a bit 'weird' ifyou will But certainly knows music. And a creative genius when it comes to music. Beatles tried to compete with him back in the 60s. Sgt Pepper was in response to Pet Sounds.
