Bret Michaels back in hospital

My heart goes to him and his family. I think he needs to slow down. I think he's really way to much. After having such a major medical condition.

For those who think he should slow down, not every one is of the personality that can do that, no matter how bad we want to. It's just not in us. Bret is that type of personality. We have to be going full tilt all the time or we go nuts. It puts us on edge and is very stressful. For him, getting back to work is probably the best thing that could happen. It's probably less stressful than being at home. When he's working, he has routine, structure, etc. Home isn't like that.

I had major abdmonial surgery last week and I was climbing the walls in the hospital. One day I actually walked a mile around the nurses station (it's true, OT measured it out). For me, it was more stressful to be stuck in bed with nothing to do that to be moving. Of course, I'm sort of paying for it in pain now, but it was worth it to me mentally. My poor doctor doesn't know how to deal with me, he's used to begging people to get out of bed, they're at the point where they're almost ready to drug me to get me to stay IN BED. For those like me, being active is a part of getting well. We love to be needed and to be busy, it's more damaging psychologically not to be.

This is an interesting point, thanks for it. Of course I can't relate to it one bit. I'm as lazy as they come. I love being in the hospital and waited on by the nurses. I look forward to my c-section! :lmao:

Bret Michaels is once again ready to rock—slowly, under doctors' supervision and with great care.

Michaels has been released from the hospital after his surprise re-admission this week after suffering a "warning stroke" in the midst of his recovery for a brain hemorrhage.

The Poison frontman is currently receiving outpatient care. So now that we know Michaels is all right, what does this mean for his appearance on Sunday's Celebrity Apprentice finale?

Nothing. If you don't know by now, Michaels is a fighter.

If a near-fatal experience didn't stop him from wanting to carry out the season, the doctors' recent terrifying-to-non-rock-god-mortals discovery of finding a hole in his heart this week won't.

A rep tells E! News that Michaels will indeed appear as planned on this weekend's live finale. You really can't keep a good rocker down.

Wow, He really needs to slow down. He needs some good rest and relaxtion. I can't believe any Dr would release him after everything he has been through

I saw him on Oprah as well and I was kind of surprised that he said he was pushing two rounds of therapy a day. Seems like he's trying far too hard to get better..he needs to try and take it a little easier. Even if it's not his personality. Poor guy...hope he gets better and heals well...and rocks on.

I wish he would appear on this Sunday's Apprentice finale by satellite. Goodness gracious, we don't need him keeling over on live TV.

...While MRI and CT scan tests were being conducted, Michaels also received a Doppler Ultrasound...

...and, there's a 60% chance of rain over the Tri-State area....

:rolleyes1

...but, SRSLY, hope he's on the road to a quick recovery....:thumbsup2

I am in administration in an Acute Rehab hospital, Medicare and most insurance products will not pay for acute rehab unless you complete 3 hours of 1:1 therapy 5 of 7 days. It is a very high bar, and cuts out a lot of people who can't tolerate that level of intensity.
