This just in.......

Breathless, the 1930's Chris-Craft Replica Boat out of Bayside Marina at the Yacht Club, is currently in rehab. This is an unscheduled repair to fix/replace the transmission. It was taken to the dry-dock area yesterday (10/31) and should be unavailable for the next 2 weeks.
Meanwhile a 6th Pontoon Boat will be available for the IllumiNations Fireworks Specialty Cruise, but it will most likely NOT be in the WDW-PLAY, CRO system. If you want to book this pontoon, go directly to Bayside Marina between 10am and 5pm.

if breathless is down for 2 weeks then there is much more wrong than just the transmission

I own two of these units and they require specific maintenance at least twice seasonally. My craft on Lake Tahoe is serviced three times a year. With the daily use of “Breathless” this is not an uncommon occurrence. Also, it has been on the docket for refurbishment since the beginning of September.

I spoke to Chad last night after I saw him driving Breathless around Crescent Lake.
He said that the boat is back, but will not be booked until Saturday. Yes, they did more than just the transmission, they put in a new motor, that is why he was driving it around, they need some hours on the motor to help break it in.
So, look for Breathless tooling around between 6pm and 8pm the next few nights.
I did not get any specifics on the new motor, but Chad said that it revs higher and the throttle is more sensitive. He said it is smoother.
