Breaking the Fantasy

Since this hasn't happened yet, I don't know how it will affect me when I'm there. However, (and there's always a however in life) when I'm at Disney, I shut out the outside world. I'm on my time, with my family, in our fantasy world and whatever is going on outside that world is really of no consequence to me. Someone above posted about the "back sides" of attractions that are noticeable. If I've seen them, I honestly don't remember. So, my thought is, I'm gonna ignore it if its there and go on with spending my time at the Happiest Place on Earth!!!

Did you know there is already a massive resort complex there, surrounded by Disney property, that isn't owned by Disney and in fact, has been sold (it's time share) in the Universal parks? You'd never know it if you didn't know it.

Disney won't have the option of turning off their water or electricity and the time share/resort won't have the option of getting their guests all the Disney on-site perks, so there are trade-offs for each of them. These things have a way of working themselves out, so I wouldn't worry about it 'ruining the magic'. None of the Downtown Disney hotels (which are not owned by Disney and are pretty stinkin' big) ruin the magic, so I'm guessing things will be just fine.

This would not bother me at all. But if there ever comes a day where I can see a high-rise from Magic Kingdom, now that would be a problem.

That may be coming in 2008 if the CR DVC rumor turns out to be true.

Disney should just put a massively tall ride to block the guests view of the hotel. It would be a win win situation. The guests at the hotel would still get a view of epcot and we would get a new ride.
