Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

Ah just wondering because the price increase is what is making the difference for my family doing a photo session or not. If we were sure we were going to get the $25 dollar price, we would probably do it. I bet if we order before Monday, we might get the $25 price - itll probably be fixed on Monday!

I know in the past you would get a CD at the end of your photosession and then if you took more photopass pics during your trip you could bring it back unopened and they would burn you a new CD with ALL of your pictures. Is this still true since the price increase?

33 (and 1/3) days:rotfl2:

We had purchased the prepaid photopass cd right before the prices were changed. On the 25th of Oct., the Polynesian honored our $25 price. When it was all done, they gave us the cd, as well as the photopass card. Hope this helps.

Wonderful photos jaleaton! Your photographer did a great job.

THX so much for sharing your lovely photos jaleaton :thumbsup2 . Have booked back to back photo shoots at the Poly for our grand gathering, so really nice to see different and colorful scenery. Can't wait, after over a year of planning, finally time to get excited!!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the kind comments! :flower3: We had a blast, and would def. do it again.

Im assuming theyre still doing the CD whether you pay 25 or 75. Did you get a photopass card too? And can you come back and add more photopass pics to a CD if you didnt open the CD?

The photographer gave us both. We were able to take the photopass card from our photo shoot and add it to our other account. We were also able to add borders and special things to the photo shoot pictures. We weren't ordering the cd until we came home anyways, so we took advantage of that and added all sorts of borders to our pictures. So, we left with a cd and photopass card of the pictures, but we will also be receiving another cd once we get it back in the mail. It's wordy, but hopefully this clarifies it a bit.

I wanted to let you know that I pre-ordered my photo pass cd today and the $25 GF language is still there.

Will they honor that offer at any resort or must you have your pics taken at GF?

I answered my own question, other resorts will honor it. I specifically booked WL because of the Christmas decorations there. I was told on the phone that I should not assume that there will be any christmas decorations other than the tree in any of my photos - most will be outside. So now, I don't know whether I should stick with WL or go to GF or BC. We are staying at BC - any thoughts?

Yes we are doing the photo session at WL, I will definitely make sure we get atleast a couple photos near the fireplace. Maybe I could even bring some Santa hats for us to wear in a photo or two..that will atleast make it more Christmas-like. :santa:

Thought it might be helpful for me to relay what I was just told on the phone by the WL photopass person. They don't usually do pictures by the fireplace b/c it is too dark and doesn't come out right. I was specifically asking about holiday pics. We will be there the first week of Nov. and I was hoping for a fireplace shot to use for my Christmas cards.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I pre-ordered the photo cd yesterday. The fine print at the end said the sitting fee was $25. I had already scheduled our photo session at SSR and was told the fee was $75 so I called them back. I was assured that the $25 price would be honored just make sure I have copy of email with me. The CM sounded very suprised the $25 wording was still on the email.

You read my mind! I was just coming to ask if they had to honor the $25 price since that's what's at the bottom of my photopass presale email. So glad that they did that for you, now I know if they try to fight it I can fight back. ;)

I have to book our session tomorrow and I was wondering what a good time would be in the morning to avoid squinting and glare as much as possible. Any input is appreciated!!!

This is fab news - I'll need to order mine tonight and hope I can get that offer.

If we have dinner reservations at WCC at 5:00, what time would you make your WL photo session reservation in order to have time to finish and get to dinner?

Just returned from 8 days at WDW. :sad2: We did the photosession at the BC and did get the $25.00 price. We had scheduled the session for 8:30am... it figures that we picked a morning with record breaking low temperatures for Orlando!! It was in the 40's during our OUTDOOR photo shoot!!!! Our poor kids... DD2 wouldn't smile and only wanted me to hold her or she started crying. DS5 was a real trooper though, even after he had spent the last two days throwing up, he managed to smile for the camera. So we didn't quite get the great shots that I'd hope for. I'm just glad it still only cost us $25. I would have been really bummed if we had had to pay the higher price.

How did the pics come out in terms of the sunlight and glare? I am trying to figure out what time to schedule ours. TIA!

I pre-ordered my photopass cd last night and at the bottom it said "resort portrait sitting fee of $25.00 at our GF resort location".

Will they still honor this price? We aren't going until April but I wanted to pre-order my cd before the trip and any potential price increases, so I am wondering if they will still honor the 25.00 5 months from now..Or have they maybe decided to change it back?
At 25.00 for the sitting fee, I can most defintely get my husband to agree! Quietly doing the happy dance if they honor it!

Ok so here is the next question which is the best resort to do the pictures at and why! We would love to incorporate Disney in the shoot so you know they were done there(ie back ground disney or something) I am assuming that am is the best time especially with my kids, but which is the best time.

Hi folks

Is there any expiration on the pre-purchase? I want to order for next July but just want to make sure it doesn't expire after say 180 days......can anyone help?

I have not done the photo shoot yet but from what ive seen your best bet for incorporating Disney might be Poly because I think thats where they do the shot of your family looking at the castle across the lake.

Has anyone done a shoot at WL/BC/GF? I would love some input on which resort to chose. We will be getting our portraits done while holiday decorations are up.

I had to look for this post lol - I read this earlier on a webpage and wanted to share it. I do think this just made me rethink paying for the Photo Session and just doing my own.

Disney Resorts Private Photo Shoot - You can arrange for private 30 minute photo sessions with a Disney's PhotoPass photographer at the Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Saratoga Springs Resort. The sessions includes around 40 photos (limited only by time) taken around the picturesque resorts and their beaches. NEW! Please note that as of September 1, 2008, Portrait sessions at the resorts are a separate entity from the Disney's PhotoPass system in the theme parks. While both Parks and Portraits use the same system for their photos, they are separate products. As such, the pricing structure has changed dramatically. There is no longer a discount specifically for guests who pre-order Disney's PhotoPass. Guests who pre-order the PhotoCD or purchase it within the theme parks can reserve a Portraits session for $74.95 with proof of purchase (either email or receipt). Guests wishing to purchase only the Portraits session on CD can do so for $149.95. Alternatively guests who purchase the Portraits session but then wish to combine photos from the Parks may do so by bringing their CD and PhotoPass cards to any resort location for a fee of $49.95 (bringing the total to roughly $200). Note that Disney's PhotoPass enhancements will not be available for Portrait session photos or any photos from the theme parks combined with it. Additionally, guests will no longer have the option of receiving their Portrait session photos on a Disney's PhotoPass card. However, any guest who had booked their session prior to September 1 or pre-ordered the PhotoCD prior to September 1 will be able to continue to take advantage of the lower rate and be able to add Portrait session photos to their Disney's PhotoPass. Reports from guests who have participated in the photo sessions are overwhelmingly positive. Available times are seasonal, starting daily at 8 am until 7 pm or sunset, whichever comes first. Call 407-824-1700 to make reservations up to 30 days in advance or for additional information
