From TheBestMagic.net One of the first official announcements regarding Avatarland's attractions will happen at D23 in Anaheim on August 9th-11th 2013. Disney will be giving a small glance at 3 attractions being created for the Animal Kingdom, Avatar Land expansion to fully open late 2016. Not to be left out, Disney will also give attendees a special peak at the newest StarWars attractions being built! Yes, you heard me correct, Disney is actually going to give everyone a peak at the next StarWars attraction at WDW! This partially confirms the rumor of a StarWars land being fully completed at Hollywood Studios by 2018. I have recieved inside information that as of today, a few areas will be ending soon. The 1st area to go, as it seems now, will be the BackLot tour. Doing so will release tons of room for expansion. The next area to be closed for the expansion will be Indiana Jones show. Now the next area is going to upset a lot of people but I believe its a necessity. The area known as Streets of America will also be closing by 2015 to make room for the huge expansion. What that means is, 2014 will be the last year to see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This is the only information I havent be able to get 100% verified so there is still a slight chance they may keep Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights but its highly doubtful due to the area needed for such an in-depth expansion. My sources are saying this WILL BE THE BIGGEST WDW EXPANSION EVER. Disney knows it has to create something to challenge the POTTER expansion at Universal. Theme park analysts are saying when the Potter expansion opens, it will generate millions of revenue for Universal in the first year. Not only that, Disney will see a loss of attendance at MK and revenue. It wont be a strong loss but something Disney will have no choice but to answer. Visitors will go to Universal for 5 days instead of their usually 2. This is a game changer and Disney knows it. Finally, the last bit of information will have is, the Imagination Pavilion at Epcot, will be closing. Inside sources are saying that an estimated time of full closure will be around mid to late 2014 . Ive been unable to get anymore information but Im waiting for a call from a source. When I get that information, I will pass on the information to our fans of our site. What that means is Figment may be gone for good along with Michael Jackson EO. You may want to ride Figment a few more times cause this may be the last time to use your imagination. Well thats it! A lot of awesome WDW news!

Since Disney Parks is not giving a presentation at the Expo, which presentation will they release this info in? I will stay tuned in to twitter during that time to find out the latest.

This entire post is just a rehash of every other rumor thread that's been active this past week. The only difference is the ever so touchy word, "confirmed".

the only thing i see thats different than what was known is...avatar being 3 rides and opening in 2016

A little upset to see Indiana jones and backlot tour. But excited for something new

It will be interesting to see how much is true. That's an awful lot if HS to shutdown for an expansion. What happened to the rumor of carsland?

Honestly, I wish they would just close the Indiana show and put in the Indiana ride like DL. That would be more fun. I don't need another Star Wars attraction but I am looking forward to cars. Personally I wish they would put the kibosh on Avatar. I don't know one person who was in love with that movie. Yeah, it was kinda cool and I get the point of putting it in AK. I just feel like there are other things Disney can do with the space. Not to mention the fact that all these additions are going to cost a fortune. Soon I wont be able to afford it.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights seems like it could be moved. Draw people to AK in the evenings and not disturb the animals? The Boardwalk or Disney Springs could be other options.

I guess I'm the first poster to click through on the link.

The article is titled:

RUMORVILLE ALERT:Breaking WALT DISNEY WORLD NEWS

This is the Disney Rumors and News Board. I don't know why some posters see the need to convert a rumor to news.

It may happen. The site might have some advance information but it's still a rumor.

Thank you for using bolded text, I can't understand a point in standard font. OP titled the thread as if it were confirmed news, and did not provide a direct link themselves. Simply stating a source isn't citing it. And what I said is true. Most everything in that article is a rehash of every rumor that's been flying around the Internet. Anyone can estimate an opening date and/or attraction count. I never said OP or the article was wrong, or that the information is wrong, I simply stated it was a rehash with a title that vaguely endorsed it as a confirmation.

Yes avatar is happening. Star wars most likely. The backlot, steerts of America unlikely with time frame given. I could see 2030 but not 2016

I find that hard to believe.

The part of my post which I bolded was a direct quote from the article linked by the OP. Since it was the title of the article the font size was larger, and a different color, then the article itself. I wanted to make it clear that part of my post was a direct quote. I could have used quotes. I'm sorry if bolding that sentence, instead of using qutes offended you.

I was using sarcasm bud. No offense taken/intended.

I agree. If anyone thinks Avatar is going to compete with Harry Potter on the theme park front, they are mistaken. Money invested by Disney in "Avatarland" would be better invested elsewhere.

My apology was intended to be very sarcastic. I didn't bold the phrase to make it easier to understand my point or to give it emphasis I bolded it to indicate the phrase was a direct quote.

Since you misrepresented my reason for bolding your comment was rude, not sarcastic.

There's that word confirmed. Okay there is a source but who knows if it will be confirmed and there is no large logical presentation at d23 this year for major park expansions. DHS needs an expansion and anything stated in that doesn't bother me because we all know it is desperately needed. Avatarland we have known is coming and its been kind of a hush hush secretive expansion. We haven't been told anything except disney is doing Avatarland. The Epcot thing is what gets me, I understand captain EO going good bye and thats okay we have plenty of 4D movies in the world. But figment I don't know why they would get rid of figment, I could see a update to the ride and what not but to completely get rid of the ride is crazy. Also who is going to sponsor this pavilion because Kodak was the sponsor and I know they were going to get rid of Kodak but with this will there be a new sponsor or is it just going to be a disney only thing.

This is also interesting because the last i heard the Star Wars expansion would go near the star tours ride not the backlot, thats why Carsland was involved as for taking over that area. Would they move star tours? Would they get rid of it? Someone just doesn't seem logical here if disney is going to do a major project there going to do it right not slap it together they have never done that and never will. Why do you think disney hasn't answered to recent universal expansion yet I think they are coming up with something big but the way this rumor is it doesn't seem logical.
