Hi everyone--

I'm a longtime lurker here, and have gotten so much help from all of you in planning my trips! I thought it was about time I started posting! I've been to Disney 3 times since finding these boards, and am in the process of planning my fourth.

I'm looking for good breakfasts where there are no characters--we've done all of the character breakfasts, and I know they're always a little more expensive then breakfasts without characters-- so, which ones are your favorites??

One of the best we've had was at Trails End.Great food and really reasonable.I am trying Fresh on my trip in May-will post when I get back.

i agree that trail's end is good. really worth the effort to get to FW if you are not staying there. others that we have enjoyed are whispering canyon cafe at WL, boatwright's at POR, and olivia's at OKW. all of these are well worth the effort to get to these resorts. another good one is tusker house in AK. it is not sit down as the others, but counter service. happy eating!

Also loved the Yacht Club Galley for breakfast. Good food, nice service, bright and sunny and quiet resturaunt.

Welcome to the Dis, Stitch Girl! Glad you stopped lurking and became one of us. :D

One of our favorite breakfasts is the Kona Cafe. Tonga Toast is very unique, and on our last visit there, I found out they have great pancakes too.
For a lighter(notice I didnt say light, LOL) breakfast we really enjoy the pastries at the Main St Bakeshop. The French Toast Loaf is my favorite.

Our favorite is Spoodle's. Also, the breakfast sandwiches and pastries from Boardwalk Bakery are very good.

Stop lurking and come on down!!!!!! Welcome!!

For non character breakfasts we like: Yachtman Galley, Kona Cafe or Concourse Grill.

Have fun!!

Welcome to the boards. We love Kona Cafe for breakfast. We love there Tonga Toast and omelets. We also enjoyed eating at Fresh twice in Dec. and thought the food and service were really good.

I just had a great omlette at Kona Cafe on Tuesday! And our server substituted bacon for the potatoes/bread at no extra charge (low carber here). The Tonga toast looked good....someone at every table was eating it!

Our favorites:
BUFFET: Boma and Maya Grill
TABLE: Kona, Boatwrights, Olivia's

Should add that my favorite breakfast meal is the Blueprint omlette at Boatwrights.

to the Disboards, StitchGirl!
We like Spoodles for breakfast too.
I do wish they still had the buffet but it's good food and the atmosphere is nice.
It's usually fairly quiet, although we are always there early.
For a quick breakfast on the go, they have a great quiche kind of thing at the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom.
We sometimes make a special trip to MK just so my husband can get two of these, he LOVES them!

Have a wonderful vacation!

You are in the Dis Class Yearbook!!

;)
Your yearbook picture is on page 154.

We really enjoyed Kona Cafe at the Poly last December.

It was a nice breakfast, quiet too since we went fairly early. I think we got over there around 7:45 & were seated right away!!

YUMMY food :)

Kona Cafe in the Poly and Whisering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge

Thanks for all the welcomes and the suggestions!!! I'm looking forward to my upcoming trips, and all of the suggestions sound great!! I'm particularly looking forward to trying the Tonga Toast-- I've heard so much about it, but never got a chance to try it!!!

Thanks again!!!:bounce:

Yet another vote for Boma's breakfast buffet! Great African coffee, brewed at your table, and their selection is really impressive.

Kona Cafe is good too. They also have great coffee (Kona coffee), brewed in a press-pot. For something different, order some Tonga Toast.

Whispering Canyon... it fun. The servers aren't Disney characters, but they sure are ...well.... characters!

Grand Floridian Cafe is a little pricing but you'll get a nice meal.

Breakfast is kind of important to us. Every trip we plan a big "getaway breakfast" to top up the tank before we start our trip home. Next trip our getaway breakfast will be at Spoodles. Haven't tried them for breakfast yet. Can't wait!

We usually have breakfast in our room, but I've heard so many good things about Kona Cafe in the Polynesian (on this thread, too) that I'd love to try it. Mmm... Tonga Toast....:p
